The adhesive tape is along the top and edge as this Mabett photo illustrates.

Regarding the photo, yes they have adhesive along the edge and yes they are the Mabett brand Rear Wheel Splash Shield Covers.

I installed the splash shield covers at the front of the rear tire wells as shown and have been happy with them.

First thing: Mabett underbody cavity shield along with Fluid Film coating for protection.

Totally agree about pre-planning ahead of time. Even better than that is unwrapping the tool bag and becoming acquainted with the tools themselves when you have time. Try out the tools and use them to partially lower the spare so you know the process. That way you will know how everything works...
