The battery shows fully charged when I take it off the charger.
It could be that the BMS sensor didn't sense the full battery, but if you let it sit for about 8 hours the BMS resets, or you can do a BMS reset procedure found in the owners manual.

No, I drive it as I normally do. It has never failed to start. However, I do not have the courtesy lights come on when I open the door when it is battery saver mode. It is just annoying. My '04 Merc could be nearly dead but after a 15-30 minute drive the alternator would have it recharged. I have driven this one over 100 miles and still have the battery saver mode warning.
UPDATE: After fully charging the battery and driving 5 consecutive days the Battery Saver warning popped back up on Ford Pass. I have called my dealer and they have it scheduled to be checked out tomorrow to see what might be going on. I will update when I find out anything new.

I replaced the original battery with an AGM and still get the warning. I really think the issue is driving time not the type of battery you have, at least for me.
Difference for me is the flooded batteries completely died within 6 weeks. The one AGM I've had since May hasn't died.

Dealer picked up my truck this morning. Ran test and found battery at 39%. Battery tested bad so replaced with a new battery Part No. BXT-99RT4-A. We'll see what happens....

Same thing will happen. Same battery, may be the slightly better CCA version, maybe not.

Unless you can follow some of the trickle charge advice given, it'll get to the same point.

I have a 2024 Lariat Hybrid. I don't drive it much, 1600 miles in 6 months, so I occasionally charge the battery. Yesterday, even after fully charging the battery I drove it about 10 miles and as soon as I parked it my Ford Pass states "Vehicle In Battery Saver Mode" "Drive to reconnect Ford Pass." I have had the dealer check both the battery and charging system and they say everything is fine, just charge the battery as needed. My wife's Escape is driven even less than my Maverick and never has this issue. I never had it on my Fusion I owned previously which was driven the same. Anyone else have this issue?
I don’t have a hybrid (eco boost) and this just started happening today. 24 eco bought new in Aug.

Same replacement battery on my 22xl, 2nd one since new. Also had the master window switch replaced due to stuck rear window.

Going AGM next year.

Use to get it . stopped using start/stop and improved . have 12 volt plug in monitor ( plugs into 12 volt socket and bought on Amazon about $10 ) and battery condition improved . Also recently had software battery charging recall done and it even improved even more . prior battery resting. Would go down to 11.6 volts now only goes down to 12.3 volts . charging rate is higher while driving/ idling now . owned truck since 10/21 and only just less than 9k miles . so far so good . Also have portable jump start in truck just in case .

So you have had personal experience with the dealers in my area? If not shut the fuck up.
Well - you said Ford lumps the EFB into the AGM battery category.

Now you are saying it's your dealers.

Fine and dandy as long as you know there is a difference between those two - sometimes vast.
If you really think Ford considers them the same a link is all that's needed, then perhaps we have something useful to show our dealer rather than - "ya, this guy on the internet says his dealer ..." - we all know how useful that is.

I was curious because I never considered them together either because of the differences in the way they are made - neither do several battery manufacturers consider them in same category even if the performance of EFB can match or better AGM.

I might. I have the warning pop up within a day of having driven it but I have a dash cam that monitors for 8 hours and thought it might have something to do with it. Haven't changed settings to confirm but will post when I do.

This is proof that the original guys here in MavericktruckClub were correct. There is about a dozen guys in here that did their own research and realized that the charging settings was causing the flooded batteries to sulfate and not hold a charge. THEY decided to try putting in an AGM battery after discovering in Forscan that the BMS settings are for an AGM battery.

So if your Ford dealer has been told by Ford Corporate to replace the flood batteries with AGM batteries why do most dealerships continue to tell us to "drive more?" Will the dealerships have to pay for the batteries? Is Ford corporate going to reimburse the dealerships?

I'm just glad that the powers to be finally acknoledge that a flooded battery just won't work in the Maverick. I would venture to say that due to the demand of the Maverick, the availability of AGM batteries would have slowed down the ability to roll those Mavericks out of the assembly plants. But I am guessing this happened.
What is Forscan every talks about?

Forscan is the software program the Maverick runs on. Similar to like Windows 11 on a computer, Windows has preset things in place. Screen brightness, how long to keep a screen on after someone has stop using the computer, etc.

Forscan has preset levels that tells the computer how to charge the battery, how long to keep interior lights on in the truck after shutdown, whether to have the horn twice after locking you truck with two pushes of your Fob buttone, etc.

Going into Forscan and adjusting the charge rate of the 12v battery from 80% to 95% would keep your batter level highet for longer periods of time.

Hope this helps
