Morning, I’m new to this hybrid stuff. I have a 24 maverick lariat picked up in February about 3200 miles on it in the past week and a half. I’ve gotten messages on my app that the truck went to save mode to save the battery now this is all happened after a few short trips meaning three or 4 miles on a trip. now I had no troubles with the truck. The only thing I noticed was when I got in the truck the interior lights would not work once I hit the start button they all worked. now, should I charge the battery and if so, should I hook the charger up to the battery itself or to the terminals under the hood? also, I noticed in other post where they’ve had to get their batteries replaced. Is this an indication of battery problems?

Yep, untold number of post on this, especially on hybrids. Search the forum for terms such as: dead battery, bad battery, won't start, deep sleep, trickle charger, AGM Battery, etc. There was issues with battery wiring harness/loose connections and fuse buts seems ford has maybe cured that, haven't seen post so much lately as in the past.

If you're doing a lot of short trips, buy a battery maintainer and connect it periodically. I use the jump points under the hood.

Tons of threads on this. Scroll to the bottom of your thread and you'll see a few more.
I've had my Hybrid for 15,000 mi, much of it is short trips. I use my NOCO battery maintainer periodically and I've never had any battery issues.

I get the sleep message almost daily. My Maverick hybrid is a 23 with almost 9000 miles. It's always started though. I keep a jump starter battery thing under my rear seat, just in case.
