No I use wireless magnetic brake lights. They are LED and use very little power so the batteries last a long time. I am mounting them on the cab as that seems the most secure point. I have used them on my last three toads. I had a diode go out and took forever to troubleshoot the problem the last time I used a light kit.Vongreg,
Did you happen to use the universal light kit that Roadmaster provided or did you use a different one?
Mr toad, I am using my old classic brake Buddy system it's worked well for many years. What braking system do you go with? Sorry if you have covered this already. Doing my install tomorrow.
I received my baseplate today…will work on the install soon. Box was tore up, hope I have evertyhing.Just finished the install of the Roadmaster Baseplate. Fairly easy install.

Not sure, I would test the unit, plug it in and if stays powered up for an hour your golden. If not it is a fifteen minute job to run a fused 12v outlet directly from the battery. I had to do that on my Miata and brake buddy. You could mount it under the back seat.I have the Lariat with Luxury and Copilot 360 packages. There is a 12v “cigarette lighter” style outlet on the lower portion of the dash above the wireless charging space for a cell phone. Is this outlet powered continuously? I’d like to plug in my RVI Brake3 there, but I’m afraid it will time out and power while towing the Maverick behind the motorhome.
I tested the lighter plug on the XL when I got in it for the first time in the AM and the plug had no power. I started it and shut it down, opened these door and closed it. The plug had power. I did some things for a few minutes, came back and it still has power. I don't know how long but I do think it shuts itself off. I will be doing a direct line to the battery for my brake buddy.I have the Lariat with Luxury and Copilot 360 packages. Slap to forehead! After sitting back and fortifying the brain cells with a little port, I had an epiphany…..I have the Lariat with Luxury and Copilot 360 packages. Lol, I thought that was the plan. That'll work for your break and so many other things.Slap to forehead! After sitting back and fortifying the brain cells with a little port, I had an epiphany…..
The starting battery is right there in the cabin under the rear seat. I’m just going to connect a fused heavy duty outlet directly to the battery and bring it out from under the seat when I need to plug in the auxiliary brake system. It could also be used for additional items when needed.
