If you have a Walmart with an automotive department you can walk in buy the Mobil 1 and a filter of your choice I like Mobil 1 also (filter) and just walk over to the auto service area and I believe they charge between $25-30 I’ve done that when I had my f-150
Good luck 👍
I have seen people walmart hires. I would not let them wash my truck, much less get into the mechanics of it.

Hi everyone,
I have had my Maverick since early September. I see on the MyFord App that it says I don't need an oil change until about 7000 miles. Im already at just barely over 5000 miles and it says 56% oil.. So should I go all the way to 7000 or below 30% or what? Its XLT hybrid. I love my truck... Just want to take good care of it...

Eric
I change oil & filter every 5,000. My very first oil change was at 1,000 miles just to clear any particles in engine oil.

I have a 2024 hybrid Lariat, I dumped my oil at 5,800 installed mobil 1 and Mobil 1 filter, I’ve been a mechanic all my life and oil is the heart of your motor, that first oil change is most important because I feel there are many contaminants left behind from manufacturing, a cheap preventative action, good luck God Speed

I did my first oil change at 3,300 on my 24 xlt hybrid. Used the ford appropriate filter. Did the second at 8900 switched to a Mobil one extended life filter. Oil both times is full synthetic Valvoline 0/20 Ultimate. I use this oil because of the zinc content which is higher than their hybrid specific product.

Did our first at 3,000 miles to take care of removing anything from the breaking in period. Then doing every 5,000 miles, or 1 year, whichever comes first.

Certainly will not hurt to change it now. For the first oil change I am much more aggressive and change it earlier than recommended. One thing I use in addition to just mileage is looking at the oil itself. When you pull out the dipstick is it still clear and honey in color or is it black and very dark? If dark go ahead and change it …it’s ready.

Getting oil sample analysis might help one to decide if an oil change required. Doing this in the early mileage clock would reveal contamination has level out, and one tempted to follow manufacturer‘s recommendations of oil change theresfter.

Had oil change done at 1,300 miles, after a ~700 mile analysis reveal oil could go further. Truck at 5,020 miles, computes says 14% life remains, just pulled a sample, and will prob change oil after analysis report. Plan to go synthetic route, pending good analysis report, hoping good and complete break end.

As I have said on other posts do what makes you feel comfortable. If you feel comfortable stretching it out, go ahead. If you don't feel comfortable stretching it out then change it earlier. For me, now I do 6 months or 5,000 mi and I've done that on all my cars. Many many years ago I did it three months 3,000 mi cuz that was the recommendation. I have never had any issue on any of the cars I owned pertaining to the oil changes.

I‘ve had my 2025 for a month now and have a little over 500 miles on it - I plan to do a oil change at 2000 miles just to switch out the ”break-in period oil” I’m planning to use Mobil One Hybrid Grade Oil and Filter I haven’t seen anywhere that it’s a requirement just what I’ve always done and it’s served me well…
THIS!!!!

All ICE engines, including hybrids, should have oil change during break in period.

It’s a drain plug and an oil filter wrench, I can teach a 8 yr old to do oil changes, I was a mechanic in a dealer for years when rebuilding existed, you can watch them at Walmart if you could understand what they are doing 🤪😂

Don't forget the 15 freaking screws to remove the Splash panel? Biggest pain in the ass of the whole job.
Don't forget to run the engine some before you replace the splash panel. Otherwise you'll never see if it has a leak until it's leaked out a whole lot.

Hmm, not included for some reason. Meets the required spec.
That's local Walmart price in stock.
