The inevitable happened today and it only took 11 days to get my first scratch.

Driving on the Interstate and what looked like a bat or bird hit the front end of the truck. Heard a thud. Went to look for anything from the impact an hour later while at a gas station.

I didn’t find any feathers, blood or smudges but found a deep scratch on the driver side headlamp.

In my first week, I was parked at a very isolated spot far out in the empty space at a Home Depot. When I came out, someone had let a shopping cart run away and it left a noticeable dent in the driver side door. The lot was pretty level, so I had to wonder if this was intentional. 2 days later, a metal bracket fell off a vehicle ahead of me on the freeway and made quite a noise when it struck my front end and flew up over the windshield. I was VERY lucky; it only broke my license plate frame. Now that my truck is a couple months old, it's no longer attracting disasters as quickly!

Flat tire count? Haven't had a flat in 9 years driving a small car with bare tires. 1st week with the Mav, same highway I always drive and I got some kind of nail. Tire was no able to be repaired. Full size spare was great

Scratched some of the paint on the lip just below the back window, with a branch while taking away some green waste back in June. So it took 11 months to get one. I need to get some touch up paint from a dealer before it has a chance to rust.

I made it almost 53 days. Driving on the highway Dec 23 to a Doctor's appointment heard it hit but didn't see what. My early Christmas gift was a nickel sized divot in the windshield.

Just noticed my first door ding on the rear drivers side wheel flair just above the wheel. Small and no dent, just some paint transfer it looks like. Can't complain. I had my '22 for just under a year and never got a door ding. Have my '23 since December of '22 and finally got my first one. Honestly I expected to have had several of them by now. People are careless in parking lots.

Mine was self inflicted as I was trying to get the damn side marker lights out and ended up gouging the plastic and scraping the paint

Maverick is wider than my car and I smacked the passenger mirror on the garage door trim. Cleaned off the white from the trim and used a black el marko on a small spot where it knocked the paint off. Did it a second time. VERY careful now pulling out or pulling in. At least when you are pulling in the mirror folds back.

I am a firm believer in the "Maverick glass is softer than other brands" claim. Driving home from the dealership (I will admit it was a 1,700 mile trip over 2.5 days) gained me about 7-10 very obvious pits/dings in my windshield. Plus a small half inch moon shaped scratch which I assume was from the wiper blades dragging something.

This is with me not tailgating anyone, not driving behind any semi trailers or other heavy haulers, sticking to the freeways, not hearing anything hit my windshied, running thru an entire gallon of washer fluid keeping the windshield relatively clear of crap, etc.......

Haha yeah. My radiator was covered pretty well with bugs when I got home. I did not want to bend the fins by scraping them off, so other than a gentle garden hose spray occasionally, I have just been driving with them. Doesn't seem to have caused any problems with the engine temps.

Found this at a rest stop on the way back from Ohio. Maybe 3k miles in. No idea how it happened, didn't recall hitting anything, didn't dig through my dash cam to find out. Made me sick at the time, Meguiar's makes everything better though.

I've had three dents on my passenger door repaired. One last year and two a few weeks ago.
All were easily noticeable, but after repair look as good as new.

For as much as people talk about poor paint quality, none of them had Any paint damage.

got my CG Hybrid XLT in March of 2022--three days after taking home from dealer,went to wash and discovered this ding -top of front driver fender on first bend.missed it on walk-thru at dealer.no paint missing and is garage kept-can't win 'em all

About a week ago (6mo into ownership), backing up into my parking pad. Rubbed up against the blinker of a motorcycle. A 24" long small dent in the passenger door. Not super noticeable but it ruined my day.

All the while the truck bed is beat up and the back seat has evidence of children.
