I have a 1948 Ford F1. It has an old faded red paint job my late father did years ago. I have a red 2015 Mustang with 50th anniversary package and on Sept. 8 ordered a Maverick hybrid lariat in Area 51. Beginning to wonder if I will ever get it.

Man you guys are killing me.. I’m only getting around 32-34 MPG with about 90-95% highway driving. ☹
I do drive fast though, usually about 75-80 mph on highways. That said a good amount of my driving is also on non-highway country country roads where I do about 60-65 mph but I’m counting that as overall HWY miles. I’m a little disappointed tbh, I don’t think it gets 32 MPG highway, I would guess more like 28-29. Still great for a pick-up though of course. But I wonder with the percentage of highway miles that I do if wouldn’t have been better off with the 2.0 Eco, especially since I could’ve had AWD then which I would’ve liked.

You need to learn how to drive it and keep it on battery mode as much as possible your heavy foot is not helping you at all

we picked it up from the dealer on February 2 so we are still getting used to driving it. I keep it in Eco mode. These results are from over 200 miles of highway driving and the rest is local. We do have hills here in East Tennessee so some of it is up and down. We are very happy with it and highly recommend the hybrid Maverick. We are amazed with the MPG results.

My Maverick hybrid goes about 375 miles on a tank at 65 mph. Driven about 4000 miles now. Daily commute is 150 miles round trip. Always run in "eco" mode. I was getting those 40ish numbers on the first two tanks, but as the miles have gone up, the fuel economy has gone down. Tire pressures are approximately 40 psi. 87 octane fuel. Exterior temperatures are ranging between -15 and 65 degrees F. Seems to be pretty consistent around 30 mpg.

First tank from the dealer 540 miles with 20 to go.
Second Tank 425 miles, but that included 250 mile trip on the highway doing 80mph.
I've noticed that at 70 mph I get around 32 mpg on the highway and at 80 mpg I only get 28 mpg

Never hit 600 miles but 550 no issues mixed driving averaging 42 mpg or so

My old Tacoma got me 13mpg so I'm happy
My first gen tacoma is getting about 13 as well so I'm thrilled to be going to this. From someone who has made a similar leap, has the Mav lived up to your expectations?

It took me 7 months to get mine but it was worth the wait. We drive it all the time, we leave the. mustang sitting in the mustang and F 1 sitting in the garage. Be patient and you will be happy when you finally get it.

1st tank, went 544, 2nd went 586, 3rd went 606. Mix of normal and eco modes. 2nd tank I was less conservative with the pedal trying to see how different normal and eco are.

Received my F.E. Hybrid 2 weeks ago today and was still on my dealers initial tank of gas, but I wanted to fill up today before gas prices goes up AGAIN! With about 80% effort trying to be economical and mostly in ECO mode I'm confident of being in the +600 mile club. As you can see my tank level, estimated mi to E = (169) and total mi driven = (440.2) it should be doable. Happy Maverick Hybrid owner!

Picked mine up a week ago today. Gas was 3.09 lost week. Drove on Normal mode I think, or whatever default is. Tried not to go past speed limit on highway (70 mph max) or city and not use more than 20% power. Cruised whenever i could and kept up with traffic when I had to. Got 600+ miles off my first tank.

It's almost like a game trying to get the best mpg lol i love driving this thing!

I love my Mav and I'm glad to see most of us having great experiences with the Maverick hybrid. I hope to reach 600. Still have original tank of fuel from dealership. Just hit 500+ recently with 1/4 tank left. Im always in normal mode. I have used eco to test it out as well as sport mode. I also consider myself a medium foot (neither heavy or light foot on the petal). I should mention ~60-70% of my driving has been city. Thanks for reading. Take care.

600 is pretty easy for my wife and I. We drive about 60/40 highway/city. And highway we do about 63-65.
