Very cool. But I have a hitch mount if need be (stays on my HR-V) and a Raceface pad for family trips. Can fit 5 bikes, and because the wheels are over the tailgate, still room for luggage in the bed. That's just my preference. But it's good to see different options.

Understand. My HR-V is at the dealer again for repaint and it gets 36-37 and I have a honda pilot loaner getting 26. But depreciation of the car is usually the bigger cost then fuel.

Did the dealer provide a loaner? If so I'd rack up the miles on the loaner while waiting.

I've found the truck overestimates by 10%. Use fuelly to get real averages.
