I don't know if I agree with the A/C using more gas. My engine does not run when the A/C is on like it does when the heater is on and the truck engine is trying to heat the cabin. I believe the A/C system is electric and not engine driven. I see no difference in gas mileage with the A/C on. And...

Is someone siphoning off your gas? Mine is 2wd and I only haul pool cleaning equipment in the desert but I'm getting 45 to 50 MPG since new. Now with 3000 miles.

I've had mine since December and I'm getting around 47 to 48 MPG.

Good advice from all of you. I use eco mode. I can't complain about the mileage I'm getting. Its more than triple my F150.

I've noticed that if I keep power usage under 10%, the gas motor does not come on. I wish there was an indicator that shows when the gas engine is being used or the electric motor is being used, battery charge level, etc. like on a Prius.

It's been one of my only complaints so far. My Maverick takes at least twice as long as my F150 does to heat up so the heater will work. Granted, I leave the heater off until I see the temp start to come up, otherwise the gas engine comes on and gas mileage goes down. I could warm it up faster...
