Those numbers could be real with a plug-in hybrid I put 6000 on a single tank of gas in my plug-in hybrid Ford Fusion this year. I would definitely order a plug-in hybrid Maverick, hopefully they have one for MY23

Dang I got excited when I read the thread title and found that from mt Whitney CA to St Theresa, Florida (presumably down hill most of way) was 2,331 miles! THEN I READ your post. HEY let's start an annual maverick milage festival! (???)

No, actually, it's only ~3-4 gallons at best. About a quarter tank on a Maverick. There's no good reason to fill up the tank at the factory beyond what's needed to get it through testing, shipping, and to allow the dealer to fill it up. Why spend all that money carrying the fuel weight from Hermosillo up to, say, Toronto, Canada? Just have the dealer fill it up locally.
