So I finally ran in the 11s in QuikRik! All it took was very cold temps, and basically the perfect 0-60, even though the 60' was only 2.02.

I don't know why it shows such a negative slope, as I do a lot of my runs here, and they are usually -.2x to -.4x. I don't pay too much mind to that though, as at the drag strip I've seen a discrepancy of .6x run to run...

Anyway, just to do a complete mod list to show what this took to accomplish, it's as follows:

Factory unopened engine and transmission (41,000 miles, tuned since 1,000 miles)
2021 Lincoln Corsair 2.3T turbocharger.
Rev9 Focus RS Intercooler.
My own 3" Downpipe.
My own 3" full exhaust with Vibrant components.
Still on my crappy 3" cone filter intake (warm air intake).
Walbro 525 pump(I don't believe this is needed. My injectors are maxed, but HP pump still holds 3600psi)
AEM version 1 water/meth kit, halfway tuned (14.75° max timing)
Bronco Sport factory wheels with factory ProContacts.
And lastly, weight reduction(seats, tailgate, spare)

Thanks for all the support from members here, my good buddy Nolan(I still didn't fold the mirrors in...), and Ivan Gonzalez! It's been great to work with him and battle against him on making mavericks a fun, fast platform!

This is the end all for my truckette, as my original goal was a measly 12.90! Now Ivan and a few others can push that 10 second boundary!

Cheers 🍻

John

A lot of work, but it's running strong. Almost as quick as my 18 Mustang was stock. That's an accomplishment for a Maverick.

It ran 14.78@92mph stock with this same warm air intake, which on factory tuning would make roughly 0.0 extra power, lol.

Again John, Congratulations on the accomplishment! But you can’t stop there! We’re just getting injector upgrades and my offer still stands on a CTR. Mid 11s are definitely possible so don’t stop now lol. This is just getting started. 😎

congrats. what you've done is pretty amazing, and the fact you haven't broken anything in your drivetrain should give people confidence that the stock truck is very stout, and it holds up to fairly heavy modifications very well.

there are some very powerful Focus RS and Mustang 2.3s out there, so I have a feeling that eventually someone will build a high budget, high output Maverick.

I am truly impressed with the work you have done, I can remember when that kind of time was quick for a motorcycle! I only went to the strip with mine once & managed a 14.61 using only premium fuel. Once warranty is over I plan only a mild tune & cold air intake like an AFE or similar, would like to see 13's, of course I know sometimes it's hard to stop looking for more power.

Some people already are. I have heard rumors of one being built with a built engine. As long as the trans can get the power down, I'm sure there will be a couple 500+ WHP Mav's driving around soon!

Congratulations john. 11's is almost unthinkable for this lil thing and all that without breaking nothing is even more impressive. Amazing job.

It's absolutely insane that nothing in the drivetrain has given up the ghost! Knock on wood! Lol

The trans seems like the weak link in the system given that IIRC it's not rated even for the full torque the stock 2L can produce.

It's fun watching you push boundaries.
