Disabling Double Horn Chirp?

Does anyone know if there's a way to disable the double horn chirp that occurs when you exit the truck and it's still running?

I assume it detects that the key is no longer in the truck, and that's why the horn sounds.

Personally, I find it to be annoying and useless, but I can't seem to figure out which setting to go to disable it.

I disabled it on my F-150 using Forscan. I am not sure if anyone has figured out who to do it on a Maverick yet.

I second this. 90% of the time that I drive the kids to the bus stop, I leave my Maverick running and get out to stand with them about 20 feet away.

It is an XL with keyed ignition, so not exactly the same as this guy, but still. Just leave the fob in the truck and get out to do what you gotta do.

And yes, I realize leaving a running vehicle is technically illegal. But we all do it.

I forget the exact name of the field in the BCM easy-mode settings, but it is doable with FORScan. I have it disabled on mine.

Leave the fob in the truck?

I think the purpose of keyless entry and keyless start is so that you can leave the fob in your pocket and not have to take it out and put it back in to avoid the horn honking.

My next door neighbor who's parked right out beneath my bedroom window has a remote start that honks, and it is a bit annoying being treated to it at 5:30 in the morning just as I'm waking up myself.

Yeah the horn honk isn't a soft chirp, it is a full out honk. It is noticeable at odd hours, parking lots, etc. I wouldn't mind it if it was soft but agree the loud honks are stupid.

First time I discovered it was when I was at a horse barn. I'm just happy it didn't spook the horse. Really hate that "feature"
