First of all, I did search the MTC for info on this subject but maybe I missed it. At any rate, does anyone know how to disable the ridiculous double horn chirp that happens when exiting the truck while it's running and you have the fob in your pocket? I do this a lot for various reasons and it drives me, and probably my neighbors nuts. I have the '24 Lariat hybrid with push button start obviously. I would imagine it's designed to alert the driver that no key is detected while the vehicle is running or something to that effect. I did inquire about this at the dealership and the service advisor responded: I dunno. Thanks everyone

My 2019 explorer does this as well with the push button start, it can be disabled in Forscan. I've not disabled it yet in my explorer surprisingly, I usually just shout out I know F##k You.

If it is possible at all it would be dealer accessed or ForScan only.
I really doubt that a dealer would change anything like that. They have no way of knowing if your vehicle may end up being owned by somebody else in the future. The change would most certainly be logged as being done with Ford equipment by a dealer. Sometimes current owners don't look far enough in the future, of what their changes or modifications might do to future owners.

Thanks for your input Glen. The dealership just plays dumb.

I get this chirp every blue moon on my XLT LUX. To this day I haven't figured out why. I must be brushing something on the steering wheel or the key fob in a moment of inattention. It always happens at the most embarrassing time possible too, so that I have to explain to somebody that I wasn't verbally assaulting them with my horn.

FORSCAN is the only way I know of. I hate the double chirp too.

Besides, if I did forget to turn it off, the hybrid will do that for me.

My XLT has done it a couple of times. I also don’t know why. Obviously did something the computer didn’t like. Whatever.

Not sure if this setting, which does silence the double-lock on fob honk, would take care of this alert too.

It's not in the manual that I can find, and I think it appeared for me after the BCM recall for taillight issue.

Mislock Chirp is the sound you'll get on double-lock press if a door/hood/tailgate is open.

Feedback stopped the sound on just double-lock press.

Since it says nothing about feedback on what system, perhaps it's more than 1 item.
Stupidly it goes to a next screen with a single checkbox for XLT non-lux, perhaps expansion was planned, or available if you have other options.

Either you have another key in the car OR you leave the car with your keys while it's still on.
