what fuse did you use for the parking mode on your dash cam?

With my Garmin Mini 2 I used fuse 3 for ignition on power and fuse 18/19 for constant power for parking mode. I have the Garmin wiring harness for the Garmin dash cam.

My mini 2 broke last week, went to look at video and nothing but snow. Upgraded to a garmin 57 as the wire harness fit

Do you find the Garmin 57 a lot better than the Mini 2? I was thinking of upgrading my Mini 2.

It def links to the phone better when I go to download a video. Also I know it’s working as it has a 2” screen to verify the image sensor is working. The picture is 1440 instead of 1080 which is a little sharper. Has all the same commands as the mini 2 such as “ok dashcam, take a picture”

Thanks for the info. I may get the Garmin 57 for the front and use the Mini 2 out the back window.

I think the 12 volt battery problem will be chronic with the Maverick. My Maverick shows a 15+ volt charge rate all the time. Now a better battery will put up with this a lot longer than the OE battery will but even a good battery wiill fail early with that charge rate. I have 2100 miles on mine and it went to power conservation mode while not being driven for 2 weeks. I use a plug in the power port that shows system voltage you can get one from amazon for a few bucks and see for yourself what your battery is putting up with.

Thanks for the info, will look for that meter. This is getting really irritating as I really miss having interior lights come on at night, like all cars since 1937...

Just got that message about 30 minutes ago about deep sleep on the FordPass app. 2023 Lariat hybrid has 860 miles on it and we have had it 2 1/2 months.

I checked my 2024 Lariat hybrid battery yesterday and noted it was a 470 CCA H-4. Is this an upgrade over what Ford installed in earlier models?

After I put my optima yellow top battery in, charge voltage never goes above 14.5. and it doesn’t charge all day @15 volts like the ford battery did. Never had deep sleep again , even running all my safety equipment all day.

I had my 22 Mav in for an oil and filter change today. They did 2 software updates also. I mentioned to the service writer that I was having the "deep sleep" issues of the message on Ford Pass and the interior lights not working. She had heard of the issue and would check on it.

When I got the truck back, the invoice showed:
"Customer says every few days Ford Pass app will say vehicle is in deep sleep mode. When opening doors interior lights will not come on when this happens but will start."

The results were:
"Tested for concern. Found battery at low state of charge. Tested, charged, and retested battery. Battery tested good. At full state of charge issue is no longer present."

So, I guess they didn't think the battery would be charging on the way to the dealership.

I have a question. I've seen some messages about putting the key fob in something that will prevent the truck from communicating with it. I'm assuming this is while it is not being driven. Is there a specified distance I should keep the spare key fob from the truck to prevent constant communications with it or am I misunderstanding this issue? Thanks.

Yes it is and your battery should not create the issues my original battery did.

I used a DH5, had to cut off 2 small ears in the tray. Search the forum for tech tye and I have pictures
