I bought a cheaper Noco Genius 1 maintainer and had used it to charge the battery on my old Prius which had a newer OEM battery, it took a while for it to trickle up to fully charged and then enter a repair mode as it fully charges, but it finally turned solid green. I had been using it on the Maverick which was getting down to 11.5-11.8, but it never had a chance to fully charge to solid green on the Noco, and if I got up to 12V with the Noco, the Mav seemed to charge like it should in my short drive to work at 12.18v when I arrived using a multimeter. I put it on the Mav this morning thinking I could leave it all weekend and hit solid green, but when I checked it later it ended up draining the battery to like 8v somehow. I was connecting tot eh battery but the battery is still connected to the Mav terminals, so I figured something was left on like a relay that caused the discharge. I have the battery disconnected and the Noco Genius connected direct and it is slowly back up to 12.2v again, so I hope it is able to fully charge and possible heal the battery a little. I don't even want to deal with the dealer and will probably buy a battery, but if I put in AGM I think you have to tell the ECU the type of battery.

Well some minor success, the battery is still on the Noco 1, I was checking progress with a multimeter since it was up past 13v but still blinking slow RED, turns out it got up to 13.5v, then checked it later and it was down to 13.4v, so I just got impatient and unplugged it and let it start over with a more charged battery. Finally toward the end of that day it went into the slow Green blink, so it has been there all day today, and I am hoping by sometime tomorrow to have solid green. Then I can try to see how it behaves and see if it lasts or if this battery is toast now, if toast I might just pay for a new good quality one. I don't want Ford changing something without a good explanation as to what is causing it.

So it finally went to solid green this morning. When it was blinking green in the repair phase it got up to 14.2v. Checked again after going solid green and it was down to 13.2v. Then hooked it up to the cables again and read the voltage at 12.5v. Then once the Mav was started, the Torque app read 12.1v(Ad) and 13.0v(CM), which seems to indicate it wasn't trying to charge the battery (since it reads 14v-15v(CM) when the battery voltage is below 12v.)

So it seems fully charged and repaired. I'm not going to fool around with it much longer, just want to see if 'repairing' the battery helped at all, and see how long it lasts until discharging again. I'll probably take it to a dealer to get the problem on record with Ford, but buy my own better battery.

This is really annoying! Is it the 12V or the drive battery that's low? The warning message says to take a long drive. Take the time/burn the gas to drive around - to charge the battery? Am I the only one that thinks this is wacky?

Took my Hybrid Maverick in to have the deep sleep mode problem fixed last week and they have replaced the TCU. I have not received the deep sleep mode message since but I'm getting "Drive your vehicle to reconnect FordPass and exit battery saver mode" even after I have driven my Maverick around for a while.

Is this a dealership fix problem or is this something I can do to fix this problem?

This is not the deep sleep message.
I repeatedly got this same message you are getting. I stopped it by doing the following.

Open the Ford Pass App
Press Account button (upper right corner)
View messages and alerts
Read and clear all messages.

Problem resolved by dealer and I’m able to remote start it from the app where I could not before

I used to have the same issue until I replaced the crappy 12 volt battery with a optima yellow top battery. That issue is gone. The battery voltage was dropping down to 10.7 volts as soon as I shut the truck off. This was after long trips too.
What model Optima Yellow-Top did you use, and was there any issue fitting into the box under the seat? Best battery I every bought was one of their Red-Top batteries I installed in my prior Outback.

Thanks

It was the DH5 , had to get it thru optima direct. Had to cut off to small ears on the bottom. The y were part of a stamp so the metal was thin. It’s also easier if you pull up the plastic. Takes a little fighting, makes a lot easier

I needed the longer run time as I have a lot of strobes and equipment running constantly. I had to go the deep cycle route. I even have a solar panel on the roof to off set the load

My 22 Maverick hybrid was having similar issues. The FordPass App start button wouldn’t work. Then I got the message above instructing me to drive in order to reconnect and exit battery saver mode. I took my Maverick into the dealer for (4) recalls that were listed on my app and told them that my app was not working also. I asked for the recalls to be fixed and my app to be able to work. They kept my truck a total of 6 days. It was pulling teeth to get communication. When they finally called and said it was ready to pick up I was so relieved!
I got there and the service guy took me out to my truck. On the walk out I asked if all the recalls were now complete and my app working. He said one recall was not complete, that the part to fix it was going to be available sometime in the next 3 months. I said okay. Then asked if my app issue was resolved. He did not know. I opened my app. It still said I had 4 incomplete recalls. I tried the auto start with the app. It still did not work. I pulled up the multitude of messages and showed them to him. He did not know anything and stated such, stating that he would have to ask one of their computer guys. I stayed that I wanted to speak to them. He said they were gone for the day. I said I wanted to make an appt to speak to them. He said that the scheduler was gone. I asked him to call me in the morning and set up a time to come in and speak with someone about everything. He said okay. I started my truck and drove it across the street to a restaurant. After eating, I set out to drive home, about a half hour drive. I barely made it a couple of miles before a message appeared on my display stating something about the truck going into deep sleep mode due to low battery, or something like that. Next thing I know the truck stopped running. I tried to make it into the next road opening to get off the busy street. Unfortunately this was uphill so it soon stopped moving….half in and half out of the road! It was dusk and everyone was driving with headlights on due to low visibility/light. I immediately hit my hazards. They worked for about a minute and then died! Honestly, I don’t know how I didn’t get hit. I called 911. I called the dealership, who gave me the phone number for Ford Roadside Assistance. I called Ford Roadside Assistance as I stood near the rear of my truck waving frantically at the oncoming traffic to let them know my truck was in the road. I prayed I did not get hit! First a fire truck arrived, pulling off the road. I explained that my truck just shut down and it wouldn’t start or shift. Then a policeman came, turned on his lights and blocked the lane I was sticking out in so no one would wreck. Ford Roadside Assistance sent a text stating that the truck would arrive in 60-90 minutes. Eventually “Sam” arrived and began positioning his trailer bed to pull my truck on. Once loaded he towed my truck back down the road to the dealership once again. I feel blessed to be safe, but upset/betrayed by the dealership. What did they do in 6 days? Besides the recalls, the only issue was the FordPass App not working. Yes, there were various messages, which I had pointed out when I dropped off my truck originally, but it never shut down before this. I’m going over to the dealership in the morning to speak to someone who hopefully has answers or knows how/where to get them. This has me scared to death!

I would expect the noco 1 to take much much longer due to only 1 amp which would be even less depending on the amount of draw any sensors/computer is using at times. It takes my noco 5 two or three days to solid green when 12v is 11.9 reading. When left on maintenance mode the draw causes it to top off battery and blink about every other day.

It did take a while to go solid green, but I have been OK ever since I charged it to solid green the second time with the battery disconnected or the negative clamp on the body, then let it sit for 6 hours to calibrate, but I also reset the battery sensor doing the dashboard light flash which may do the exact same thing. I bought a 2A NOCO that mounts in the vehicle, I was thinking I could do that instead of buying a new battery. That way I can connect it through the battery sensor, but putting the negative on the body ground point and not have to deal with clamps each time.
