CV boot failure?

Greetings all. I am a new Maverick owner, less than a month. Today I decided to Wipe my Maverick down and noticed the front driver side rim was especially dirty. Upon further inspection one side of the rim was coated with some type of oil or grease. I mentioned oil because it was very thin grease if it wasn't oil. After removing the wheel, I could tell it was Constant Velocity joint grease. Believing it was impossible for me the tear the boot in less than a month, I decided to put the truck in Neutral and thoroughly inspect the boot. The only thing I could determine was that grease was exiting near the outboard clamp tightening point. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

imo, carry that to your ford dealer for warranty replacement

Just got back from the dealership. They had to order a new CV axle. It seems the boot was pinched when the clamp was crimped at the factory. Covered under warranty.

Supplier quality control, or rather lack there of. Anyone know who supplies the current axles?

true, but this is on a MY25 less than a month old, good grief ford

To be fair, this appears to be the second boot crimp failure ever reported on here.

With 125-150k trucks made each year, the failure rate for boot installation could be near Six Sigma.

The boots om my maverick are not black or rubbery looking They look of a lot stronger material

The hybrid and EB have different CV axles and shaft lengths. The boots are a rubbery synthetic plastic best as I can tell.
