CV boot failure?

I'm no mechanic, but that is not normal. I would be soooo pi$$ed off.

Why ?
It’s a boot failure, Ford will fix it no charge,
Unless he hit something and ripped it open.
Then it’s on the owner.
That would suck donkey di,,s.
Shit happens.

But it's a 25 Maverick. The boot (or retaining ring) should not have failed so early. Poor QC at Ford methinks.

So the dealer replaced the whole axle, free of charge no questions asked. They said the clamp failed.
