Here is the list for January on the Maverick:

Tonneau Cover Soft Folding - 5%
Tonneau Cover Hard Trifold - 3%
Tonneau Cover Soft Trifold - 3%
Bed Mat - 3%
Spray-in Bedliner - 3%
Bed Extender - 3%
Protective Fender Film - 3%
XLT Luxury Package with SIBL- 18%
Lariat Luxury Package - 16%
Hybrid - 40%
Tim, I ordered a base XL with a hitch, as I plan to add typical accessories like SIBL, stripe package, tonneau cover and maybe different wheels and keep the steelies for snow tires to go on. That's it. Do you have any sense fo how these base Xl's are doing in terms of scheduling for Canadian orders?

Thanks, that is encouraging, but I thought I was a patience person, but waiting for this truck to be delivered is excruciating and difficult. I drove past my Ford dealer this morning and they have no vehicles on their lot.

I too noticed hard roll-up tonneau was off the constraints list. I was going to comment about that but you beat me to it. 🙂 I asked my dealer to remove the hard roll-up tonneau just last week. This was his response:

Looks like Ford is looking at your build and it has locked us out to change your order.
So Ford is working on getting it a build date. No ETA on when we might see one.
But we are closer.
I also called Ford marketing the same day and interestingly their system was down. I'm wondering if "...Ford has locked us out to change your order" was just the system being down?

This did work in my favor however because I still have the hard roll-up tonneau on my order and it's no longer on the constraints list.
Hoping there’s a chance 🤞… quite surprised the hard roll up tonneau isn’t on the constraint list considering how constrained the other tonneaus are.

I don't think that's how it works. Instead, I think the percentages relate to how many of the total number of trucks built in the period can have whatever the option is.

So, for example, "Tonneau Cover Soft Folding - 5%" means they have enough soft Tonneau covers for 5% of the trucks that will be built. So if, for example, they were planning on building 3000 trucks, that means they have 150 soft Tonneau covers.

Similarly, the "XLT Luxury Package with SIBL- 18%" means that they have the materials to make 18% of the trucks into XLT Lux packages with SIBL. So, on a base of 3000 trucks, that means they have the materials to make 540 XLTs with Lux packages with SIBL.

The key idea is that the percentages are not based on the number of a particular option ordered. They are based on the amount of materials Ford has available to actually build trucks.

You can see my earlier interpretation and Tim Bartz evaluation of it here:
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...commodities-for-january-2022.6547/post-138261

[NOTE: I use 3000 in the calculations because that is what I used in the previous example. Actual production is likely to be twice that.]
Great post. I'm just happy to ride this out. Gives me time to fix up my own vehicle without worrying about dipping into my down payment. One day, it'll be ready. Really unfortunate that we were blessed with the Maverick in such turbulent times!

@fordvideoguy. Tim do you think it would help or send me to the back of the pack if I dropped the lux package off my hybrid lariat but keep the 360.

thanks for all you do.

Hi Tim. All your efforts are so appreciated, you've been the voice of reason! If there is any way to say thank you, other than subscribing and liking your videos, please let us know. If you are doing any fundraising or something like that, I'd be happy to kick in to say thanks.

My question is one that you probably have answered so my apologies for asking you to repeat: I have a hybrid Lariat with the Luxury Package which is at 16% restraint. I assume that means that of all of the Lariat Luxury Package orders, only 16% are going to be scheduled for a build? Or does it mean that of all the builds that are being scheduled, 16% are Lariat Luxury Package vehicles? Thanks again for your generous spirit!

Nothing other than hybrid and xlt luxury package but your dealer can't move the priority below 10, the region does that. Once it's scheduled there is no need to do that.
My dealer told me 3 weeks ago that I had been progressed from priority 10 to priority 2, Tim. I asked what that meant and they said, "it's a higher priority," LOL. Would you mind explaining what the significance of that move from 10 to 2 is? I still don't have a build date (Hybrid Lariat w/ Luxury package), incidentally. Thanks.

People, Just my opinion but this is how I relate these issues:

We have to keep in mind that the world shut down due to the virus last year, people are still sick and a % not at work each week. The just in time inventory supply chain is having difficulty getting caught up. The chip shortage for all computer equipment can hit any industry including the manufacturers of tonneau covers. The increase in EV demand is a supply nightmare for car companies and solar companies ordering more and more batteries. It's tremendously complicated and we forget all this and blame Ford -- but it's not business as usual and won't be for a while yet.
I see it differently. I don't think people blame Ford for supply issues. The complaint, from me and most others, is the absence of communication from Ford with their pending order customers. Not a lack of communication, a total absence of communication. I would appreciate it even if they emailed me every couple weeks and said "we don't know." Just an indication from them that they intend to communicate when they have relevant information, that would be appreciated by me. But not a word from the manufacturer since I placed my order in July is a loud statement of indifference from Ford. It's such an easily fixable problem, too. They've got all of us spending five figures and they can't even get it together to have their marketing team send an email. They wouldn't even need to buy a stamp. You order a pizza on Door Dash and they're updating you in real time but Ford hasn't said a word to me, not a word, in five months. It's dumbfounding.

It means that Ford Corporate is looking at your order and may or may not decide to schedule your vehicle for production soon.

Before you ask it just depends. Nobody knows how long it takes to go from Priority 2 to In Production. Did you not see the diagram above that James St. Patrick posted? It's your best bet in determining when your vehicle will be built.
