I ordered my XL Hybrid on November 8th 2021 and I picked it up on April 21st 2022. As of today, I have almost 18,000km on it. I am very please with the truck. It has a few quirks which I will explain in a future post. It exceeded my expectations in terms of fuel efficiency. Average 5.2L/100km.
The rims, tires and the TPMS was from one of our local automotive supply stores. It took them a while to find the right rims and tires. In the meantime, does anyone know if the TPMS by Ford are required to be calibrated by an external device. Better yet, does anyone know if the Maverick has a...
The next day I drove the warning light was gone and I check the tire pressures indicating on the dash and they were reading 33 psi on all wheels. However, 20 minutes later the warning light came back on it has stayed on.
I just changed out my stock tires and rims for winter tires and steel rims. After I was finished installing them, I went for a test drive with no issues. A while later, my wife and I went for a drive approx. 100km and during that drive the TPMS default warning light came on and stayed on. I...
My does the same thing, To me , It is the engine cooling down and the various metal bits are just contracting down. Nothing to worry about, all engines do it to different degrees of loudness. The hybrid in our engine i
I got my letter from Ford Canada last week. Watched a video from the U.S. where this Maverick owner read his letter from Ford. The letter referred to a January 2023 time frame for the parts to be available and that the recall was for the front row of the vehicle. My letter states nothing about...
When I picked up my XL, I got two key fobs. Last week, my main set of keys decided to go on an adventure and I never saw them again. I called our local dealer today and was told that it will cost almost $500 Canadian ($400 U.S. approx) to get a new key. This is outrageous!!! For that kind of...
I am 66, drive a hybrid XL base, Oxford white, drive a Harley Police bike, and sail a 32' sailboat. The Maverick to me is what the Ranger should have been and I consider myself lucky to have one. I don't consider myself old, but there are times I feel it. Someone once said, 60 is the new 40...
I have put 950km on my XL thus far and I am averaging 4.8 litres per 100km which is about
49 miles per U.S. gallon. The techniques mentioned in previous posts is absolutely correct. This gets better gas mileage than my Harley and my previous car, Honda Fit.
So when I pick up my truck on Thursday, do I just ask for the Fits package as it is supposed to be free for the first run. What constitutes the first run?
Congrats, my XL Oxford White Hybrid arrived at our autoport on Sunday. I expect to take delivery before the end of the week. Can't wait to take delivery.
In my case, it showed a series of numbers in two groups. One group for the PCM and the other for BCE. It reminded me of the Forscan codes that I have seen on other threads. I didn't see a type of Mac address.
