I hate that people are dealing with all that nonsense. I hope you are bringing those stories to Ford and the dealer's ownership group. May not do any good but can't hurt (except for the time it takes to call/email). I love the truck but Ford's total indifference to the customer experience is...
Thanks for the input, glad it wasn't just me. For what it's worth, I disagree on it not making sense to stock parts that may not be needed. Recalls are an inconvenience and Ford should supply the parts to the dealers so that customers do not require an additional service call.
Regarding the most recent recall, the one involving the battery and unexpected stalling: I contacted the dealer who scheduled the service. They picked up my car and called me a few hours later. They said they ran the tests to see if my car was affected and, since it was, they needed to order the...
I didn't want to post my question because I knew I would feel like an idiot for even asking! Well, I'd rather feel like an idiot than act like an idiot, I guess. Maybe I should go back and tell him that I'll do 8 years for $1500 like you got. BTW, I've got the Ford brochure I'll get it out when...
Ok, don't make fun. I'm not a car guy, anything but. But I'm skeptical of sales people in car dealerships and I know that extended warranty plans have the reputation of being the ultimate sucker bet. I picked up my hybrid Maverick the other night at the dealer (ordered it 7/12/21). A slick...
I got a call from my dealership last week saying that I was given an estimated build date by Ford of 4/4/22. I called Ford Marketing the next day to confirm and, sure enough, 4/4 build date. I asked the rep to read me the email address they had on file for me and it was correct. I told her that...
So if there are two identical Mavericks waiting for a build date but one was ordered on 7/10 and the other on 8/10, will the 7/10 order get scheduled first? That would make sense but it seems like I've gotten lapped. I know there are a lot of variables but my dealer told me that they got a build...
I see it differently. I don't think people blame Ford for supply issues. The complaint, from me and most others, is the absence of communication from Ford with their pending order customers. Not a lack of communication, a total absence of communication. I would appreciate it even if they emailed...
My dealer told me 3 weeks ago that I had been progressed from priority 10 to priority 2, Tim. I asked what that meant and they said, "it's a higher priority," LOL. Would you mind explaining what the significance of that move from 10 to 2 is? I still don't have a build date (Hybrid Lariat w/...
Hi Tim. All your efforts are so appreciated, you've been the voice of reason! If there is any way to say thank you, other than subscribing and liking your videos, please let us know. If you are doing any fundraising or something like that, I'd be happy to kick in to say thanks.
My question is...
Totally agree that Ford needs to communicate with the pending order customer as if they appreciate their business. The message I've gotten from Ford's lack of communication on my order, which was placed in July and still has no build date, is total indifference.
I ordered my hybrid in July and the only movement, as far as I know, was last week when the dealer told me that I had progressed from priority level 10 to level 2. I contacted Ford customer service a couple months ago and they couldn't give me any information. Has anyone been able to get any...
Same situation, ordered mine on 7/12/21 and no build scheduled. I got moved from priority level 10 to level 2 last week, however. At least the weather will be starting to break in Cleveland by the time I get the keys. Better communication to pending order customers from Ford would have been...
Forgive me, I can't wait for my hybrid but I'm not a big car guy: why do those tires decrease gas mileage? I assume they require more energy to propel, but not sure why. Is it the tread?
