Up until September, an order was proceeded by an online reservation. The 100K cited by ford was specifically online reservations. Dealers have suggested that about 20-30% of those online reservations have been converted to actual orders. Dealers and online tracking suggest the 2:1 hybrid ratio.

so only about 30,000 were actually ordered ?
Nobody knows. Except Ford and they're not talking. All kinds of guesses on this forum and around the internet of anywhere from 20 to 80 thousand.

Yeah, basically. And that number really isn't getting smaller. If I had to guess, I'd guess they'll have 60-70K orders/purchases by the end of the year.

-I just called Ford, 1-800-334-4375, the Lady told me that mine was waiting on parts, then they could start building it !!

I hope it is soon. I think she said it was in "Pre-Production" no vin # yet.

Getting close !!

Did she say what parts they were waiting on?

August was just the start of ramp-up. The actual numbers should be much higher barr

The chip issue has not been a big problem for them so far. Who knows if that will get better or worse with time. Their constraints seem to fluctuate between various optional items. As for the mix, the Bronco Sport is selling well and the Maverick launched with a lot of orders ready to fill. Many components and line time are shared between them. It will be will be interesting to see what they build and when.
A constraint is a constraint period. If you don't have what you need to build a vehicle, that vehicle won't get built. Under those conditions I think they are doing a great job managing the components they can acquire. However it does slow down the production process when you have to change over from one model to the next. But it is also common for this time of year to close out 2020 models. Come January everything will be more streamlined and over the Christmas, New Years holiday inventory should become more readily available for a smoother production process.

Change-over is a thing of the past. One model just follows the next with a constant mix one right after the other throughout the shift.

I don't care if I have to wait a little for a spray-in liner but how long? I don't want to wait 6 months for a bed-liner. Do they have any type of timeline?

.
I had my bed liner taken off , 2 weeks later my truck got a built date.
