Hi all,

My dealer just reached out to me stating that Ford is reviewing orders and giving a % chance of 2022 completion based on options. Example

Dealer: if you want the luxury package, there's only an 18% chance it will be built this year. Do you still want the lux package? We can install these items at the dealership.

Has anyone experienced this? I definitely wouldn't want to wait an entire year but I guess that's what I'd have to do if I wanted it this year vs 2023.

Sounds like the constraint build at the present time.

Footnote: Did an online chat with Ford with my account not showing anything under reservation and orders. She said congratulations on your new Maverick and should be scheduled soon. No good answer on my order not showing on the account except clear cookies and the site is undergoing improvements.

The list in the Lariat Lux package is quite long. Looks like problematical the dealer can install all of that. Wonder if the listed cost would still hold. If factory can't obtain the stuff what makes Ford think the dealer can? Case in point, the almost month to get a replacement gas tank. Ford should take a collective spanking over the whole Maverick launch, pandemic or not.

It sounds like they're confusing the semi-monthly scheduling constraint list. Which is 'of the upcoming scheduling weeks we anticipate scheduling x% of overall builds with these items.' It isn't a calculation of odds that a given configuration will be built in the MY. Going off the order stats on the forum here 51% are XLTs and 36% of those with Luxury Package. Which comes out to approx 18.7% so scheduling is about in proportion with the number ordered.

Reading all this has me totally KORNFUZED. In plain, simple English, what are the chances of getting my 23 Lariat with Lux Pkg, Co-Pilot, Moon Roof, etc. built at all in 2023. It was ordered about 2 hours after the order bank opened in Sept. 2022. Fortunately, I did find a 22 EB XLT with Lux, FX4, Moon Roof, etc. to buy at $2K over MSRP.

Hybrid, sounds like they have twice as many orders as what they expect to build. Lots of features means good profit margin. But lots of things to be constrained. Without knowing some key details would guesstimate 50/50. What is your priority code and do you know where you fall in dealer allocations. That is a factor.

Let's start being positive. You appear to be in Texas, that's a positive. But Ford's processes in deciding what they build and when along with dealer allocations makes it like playing the lottery. The luck of the draw. Now, being a hybrid puts somewhat of a negative spin on it, last I understood Ford only planned on 35% of production being hybrid, that could change....who knows. My guess would be plan on a year wait, keep expectations low and see if they exceed your expectations. I you need a truck soon, you may what to get the EB while you wait. Whenever the Hybrid does come in you can always sell the EB and buy the Hybrid. Just my humble opinion that does mean a whole lot. Good Luck
