Probably very quiet -- reading 550+ pages of micro-print would take us a long time, and trying to differentiate what applies to our specific Maverick would take some effort as well.
Yes you’re right.
I will say these young people writing these manuals do a piss poor job of organization .

The owners manual should be TWO separate books.
One with lawyer speak/warnings, and the other with how to operate all the functions.
With tech and capacities in the back.

Betcha can guess what book I’d throw in the trash.

I think many try and find an answer In the manual but promptly give up due to its poor organization.

How about a chapter on just dash controls, another on displays. Each done individually.
A chapter on each system.

I’m beginning to think people are loosing the ability to think logically, analytically and abstractly.

Third time my truck has come off the track going thru the car wash.
Trying to figure why.
2025 XLT AWD hybrid.
Truck in neutral, , about half way thru back wheel off roller.
They stop the car was, I need to put truck in drive then bump back onto roller.
Could it be caused by the brake issue that the recall is about?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Absolutely can’t believe how many different ways folks say are absolutely THE right or unneeded ways to go through a car wash, I haven’t done so won’t give advise but unfortunately I can’t really take advise from this thread other than “try this or that”, reminds me of Amazon reviews where a product is “the best” for someone and “stay away it’s crap” for the next.

Car wash, I watch the guy or girl guide me in the track, then they point to a big sign that says,
Leave engine running,
Transmission In neutral,
Hands off the steering wheel,
That is it,
It ain’t rocket science. How could anyone screw that up yet pass a drivers test ?
Duh ~
Every once in a while some brainiac puts his foot on the brake, car jumps the bar, car wash stops.
Grrrrr. And I’m on the highway with the same idiot and don’t even know what car they are in.

Sign over my fireplace mantle says,
“You can’t Fix Stupid”

I apologize, I’ve had to deal with dumbassery all day today.

You stay in truck and don't have to rely on valet at car wash to put truck into temporary neutral pushing the L button. If he steps on brake the truck will cancel temp neutral.
All I know is I put mine in neutral and take My foot off the brake and have no problems!!

In hybrid staying inside truck in ready state and in neutral with foot off brake there should not be any problems either. The ice will come on to keep 12+ volts on the buss so battery save functions don't happen.

I have taken our 2025 AWD Hybrid Lariat through a traditional tunnel automated car wash dozens of times with no issues. I always have the autohold button on but I don't press the brake pedal hard enough to active it. I always put the gear selector in N and press the L button for neutral hold. I am always in the car with it running and my seat belt on.

Get to the end, tap the brakes, move the gear selector to D and drive off.
I hate the car washes BUT in 20/30 even 40 degrees you can't hand wash, I have 3 coats of spray on ceramic wax on it so most stuff rolls off truck and protects it from the car wash brushes, in 3 years with my 22 XLT and 6 months with my Lariat I have never had problems, put it in neutral and don't touch anything and enjoy the ride.

I know unless you had one of each, maybe. But thought some had not noticed. Things are so different that it would have been nice if each drive train had a more definitive name.

I will say these young people writing these manuals do a piss poor job of organization .
Even just hyperlinks and cross references would help.

I wouldn't rave about how well my Bishko (?) cds/dvds of pdf scans of 70s and 90s GM factory service manuals do that, but they are far superior to what came with the maverick.

Try that at 20-30 degrees outside and get back to us!!
Living somewhere where those are common daytime temperatures is user error!

I'm not sure how warm the water is at the Drive Thru Car Wash. But so far so good no problems.

Not sure what you are doing wrong. I leave my belt on, door closed and just move the shifter dial to N. Never an issue. Don't do anything else and you should be fine.
