Paint also ruins the efficiency, anodizing can be done, nothing we will offer. A lot of people don't care about the warranty, modify vehicles is a great hobby, we already have orders for exhausts and intercoolers, which is awesome.
I get it. I'm paying cash, and I am going back and forth myself on what you are saying. Part of me is like wait for the factory tune. The other is curious what a twin scroll turbo, intercooler, injectors, and e 85 switch over would cost.

Hehe. I'm sure there is a balance somewhere.

I get it, we are in the performance industry so this is what we do. I've never cared but I've also been treated really good on warranty work, even highly modded cars, from the dealerships, a few of which have sponsored some of our cars over the years.

Once the ECU is sorted out it should be substantial. For every 5'ish degrees of air temp drop you will gain about 1% more horsepower. So 50 degree drop in air temp won't be impossible on this truck because the factory intercooler stinks, even when it's cold, that's a 10% increase from just the colder air. Everything on this platform requires working around the torque management.

Today we are back on the tune part of this project, I bought a Dragy, we have a dyno and we are in the process of tuning.

Any concerns on the transmission with the power gains? Everything out there says 8F35 which is borderline for stock power based on what Ford says it's rated for.

However there is one member on here who said 5 Star told him it's the same trans in the Edge ST which is the 8F57

Yes scattered in some of these posts I've made. I was looking yesterday and ran out of time.

I personally do not have concerns, however, this is out business, we modify, find the limits and correct them.

I found it and added it to the first post!

This is a quote I posted while testing the truck with just our intake, exhaust and catch can on it:

"The Maverick is being dyno'd with the hood closed (worst conditions) temp at the air filter is 75 degrees at the start of the run and 84 at the end, starting charge air temp at the manifold (this is after the intercooler) is 96 degrees and ends at 148 degrees! That's a large amount of power on the table and why the intercooler is next on our list.

Also as a side note, the boost pressure stock is about 16.5 psi."

So a 52 degree rise in temps 1-4 gear.

Is it possible the FX4 and 4K tow use the beefier 8F57 while the fwd 2.0 uses the 8F35?

I had my local dealer check the trans model in my truck and wrote it down, I can't find those notes.....I do remember the trans being the mid-grade option.
