Drive train and brakes are linked through the regeneration process. It seems to me that the “problem” occurs during light acceleration, with easy braking anticipated. The friction brakes are on the edge of being engaged.I hear you - I guess it's possible. By the feel of the accelerator, it seems to communicate more from the drive train than the brakes. I've never use the auto-hold (except once to test it shortly after getting the vehicle). I do use the e-brake daily since I park on a slight incline.
If it has occurred during rather spirited acceleration, I have yet to hear about it. If so, then I could be mistaken.
