You guys are obviously into your vehicle sound systems. As a simple and clean-sounding alternative, I mounted my Rockville powered sub on the factory mount behind the passenger seat and connected it to the rear speaker wires near that location. It was fairly inexpensive and sounds pretty good...
I have this one from RealTruck. Its install was easy enough and it works better than the taped-down one. The taped-down one looks great and protects the leading edge of the hood but that is it. This one provides a little windshield deflection.
I wrote about this in another post. Here is the link: Inexpensive (relatively) sub-woofer install. It was not listed by the OP, but I installed the Rockville SS8P powered sub using the high-level inputs. It sounds good and adds the missing lows.
The door speakers are novice level. Just watch any number of YouTube videos on removing the door panels. The speakers are plug-and-play using the same wiring plugs.
For the powered sub in the hybrid, I would say novice level (or just slightly above) as long as the novice can make good wiring...
Another post shows almost the same set up: [Inexpensive (relatively) sub-woofer install]. In his post, he explained that he cut off the factory bent parts of the bracket. I did not cut them off because they can be easily bent flat by hand.
It doesn't hit with earth rattling lows but it enhances the bass nicely. Based on the type of music, it can deliver some thump because of the relatively small cabin space. The installing was really easy if you don't use the RCA connections and remote. Since I tapped into the speaker wires in...
I've added just a couple of upgrades to the OEM audio system that have made a really positive difference. I would say the truck's sound is now comparable to a premium system that you might find in a luxury vehicle. I've only changed the front door speakers with a set of Power Bass OE65C-FD 6.5"...
Thank you to Muslogy for doing this! It is a simple way to market the products, spark interest, and engage the MTC community! It would be great to have more vendors that interact with their customers in this easy and effective way.
It should be covered by the company that originally applied it. But if that is not convenient, you can pick up spray can or roll-on bed liner "paint" at Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot and the like.
I will soon be selling my 2022 XLT Hybrid with luxury package. It has 25,000 miles on it. I have another that has reportedly shipped as of 9/19/23. I'll be selling in the KBB private party range.
I'll probably be selling my 2022 XLT hybrid with luxury package very soon. It is hot pepper red. I have a new one that has been built and it has shipped. I'll be looking at the KBB private party pricing to sell.
It was fine. The folks there did everything they said they would do, honored the pricing, and were quick. Don't know about their financing options or service. I have another from them with a build date in September.
It's not Area 51, but I have a 2022 Hot Pepper Red XLT Hybrid (title in hand) that will be for sale soon. It has 22,000 miles on it and CP 360, XLT Luxury Package, 300A, and Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ 4-pin connector. I will be selling it because I have 2023 with a September build date. The side...
The AC is great. The seats are comfortable for short and long trips. The gas mileage is better than advertised. I also like the bed arrangement capabilities.
Hang in there. I got mine first - about a year ago, then my brother - around mid-year, then my Dad - early this year. It's not like we were all just geeking out on them, but they are very practical well-priced vehicles.
