Is that yours in your profile pic?

My girlfriends mom has an escape hybrid, you know I test drove that thing a bunch to get the feel of the Mav hybrid.

I wonder if the Mav will take some of the share from Jeep in the tow behind market?
From what I've seen and read you can't tow Mav 4 flat, has anybody heard different?

Incidentally, I’m 66 and retired. Interesting how Maverick appeals to this older demographic, when Ford’s target was younger buyers. Am sure that the club’s greater proportion of over 50’s will mirror the general population. Maybe things will change if the truck is not reliable, the price increases, or the outrageous used car market settles down.
I too am 66 and retired, I will be replacing a '14 F150 Lariat Supercrew that I got a "STEAL OF A DEAL" on. I bought it because I love the versatility of a truck and the 5 or 6 seat capabilities. I had several old style Rangers but they hadn't been reincarnated in 2014 so I got the F150. I wasn't in the market for a new vehicle becase of price of most new trucks and my '14 F150 only has 63k on it, but when I saw the pricing, size and looks I jumped at it on 6/16/21. I drove one a few weeks ago and should have my Lariat, First Edition, AWD, 4K, Rapid Red Maverick by mid December (week of 1/29 build date).

I was Looking for Ford Bronco. Not only it is difficult/impossible to get one, I was able to test drive two of them on the same day and was underwhelmed. I thought it was too unrefined and lacked features, and the models which have all the features are out of my budget.

A Mazda 3 hatchback that I would put a bike rack on. But then used car prices went crazy. Looking at one maybe 1-2 years old would be $25000. Maverick came along, for $2000 morr I can get something brand new that's a truck. No brainer.

I was not in the market at all. I haul motorcycles around nearly every weekend, and drive 25 miles each way to work 5 days a week. I've been saying for years that if someone made a small fuel efficient pickup that wasn't outrageously expensive, I'd ditch the car and trailer setup for it. Honestly didn't think I'd ever see the day, but when I saw a picture of 2 dirt bikes in the back of the maverick I knew it was time to put my money where my mouth was, and here we are.

I was only just starting to think about replacing my mazda3 which is getting near 100k miles. It's been a great car, no complaints but it's starting to show it's age and I wanted to sell it before the value tanks. I was thinking about the nissan frontier but it's a bit bigger and more expensive than I wanted to pay. I had been looking for a compact pickup for years but of course nobody made one and with 3 kids in college we have to watch our expenses. Once the maverick dropped I was immediately interested.

My Tundra has 250K and My Outback has over 250K, I needed the gas mileage of the outback with the bed of a pickup. and had to ride good. I was looking at $35K range 4x4 that gets 25 and up mpg, that was used with less than 100K Hard if not impossible to do which brought me to where I am. I'll nurse them both for a couple more months.

I was looking at used Honda elements, Subaru Outbacks and AWD VW wagons and not excited about any of them.

Super excited the maverick launched when it did

I was looking at a Bronco. It's being built 1/17. Still trying to figure out how I can justify keeping both to the wife

I didnt want to buy anything because everything is so expensive even if it was an ICE vehicle. Plus working from home made it nonsensical to spend so much on a car.

Then the Mav came along...

Hybrid, good price, suits all my needs, and i dont feel bad leaving it in the driveway all week.

The new hybrid Toyota Tundra. Still waiting to see what kind of gas mileage it will get. Unlikely ATM, but not out of the question I'd trade my Maverick for it.

Before I heard of the Mac I was looking into late 80s and early 90s pickups. Most are not that bad price wise and have just enough electronics to be somewhat efficient but I can still work on them with my intermediate mechanic skills lol
