Yup, old and continuing problem, no matter the year. My '23 did that BS last year and at the start of my Maverick driving season in May of this year. Had a bunch of recalls done in early summer, and the sleep problem went away, until just last week as the weather gets cooler. Three times in ten days. Going to the dealer Nov.1st for oil change and tire rotation before going to actual sleep for the winter. Added the battery saver problem to the list and the service writer said it has become the bane of his existence.

Is this problem more common on the hybrid models ? My Ecoboost is almost 2 years old and I got that message a couple times when I first got it but not recently.
I don’t drive much either, have less than 6000 miles on the odometer.

It's mostly a hybrid problem, but I have seen a growing number of EB owners with this issue within the last year. The EB likely takes longer to have issues since it has a larger AGM battery from the factory.

This fix has been written about before. I did it a couple of months ago and we have never had a problem since. All the lights inside and out come on every time, no matter how little we drive it (and it will go days without being driven). The fix:

Pull the Telematics fuse in position 11 in the under the glove box fuse area. It is the newer Micro3 5a fuse. If I take it in for service I will reinstall for that short period of time and remove it again.

Meanwhile back at the Ford ranch, my 24 Lariat is taking up space somewhere in the service bay for the second time in a month for this same issue. The first time was a full week with nothing to show for it except "your battery is good". Now we're on day 4 of the second half of the pocket pool tournament and no progress that I'm aware of. I know they're not getting paid for this because nothing is getting fixed. And I'm driving their loaner. None of this makes sense but I have a nagging curiosity to see just how this may play out. Of course I'm fooling myself, I have a pretty good idea how it ends.

Do a forum search, what you are experiencing is the norm, welcome to Maverick Hybrid life. Unless you drive 2 hours a day or more, this is just how it is. It started for me less than two months into ownership. Dealer test the battery "it's fine", yeah because they put it on a trickle charger. I can do that myself and skip the 4 hours at the dealership. 🤣

There is no real fix, it's a combination of draw from all the computers, poorly coded charging software, an undersized SLI battery(standard lead Acid battery), rather than a AGM deep cycle and other things.
My battery goes dead. This is unacceptable for a new vehicle. Trickle charge? I don't want to do that. I don't want this vehicle.

I really don't know how much energy it takes to cold-start the 2.5 hybrid vs the 2.0 ecoboost, and the battery monitor strategy is very different between the 2 vehicles since the hybrid charges 12V only from the high voltage hybrid system (there's no alternator).

but really, I think the issue is simple, the factory hybrid battery is too small and it's not AGM. some people got real aggressive with this and modified the battery box to accept a considerably larger battery, but if a person searches (heh) they can find AGM batteries people say fit without modification.

it's been too little time to see how the AGM batteries that people have been installing will work long-term over 4-5+ years, but I have not seen a single post (maybe they do exist?) where someone with a hybrid installed *any* AGM battery, reset their BMS (search that, too ) and then still had any issues with deep sleep.

It certainly is not just a Hybrid problem. Had the problem with my 23 Lariat as well as my 22 Lincoln Corsair. BTW, BOTH came from the factory with AGM battery. Both had new batteries installed by the dealer after my complaining. Both are starting to get the low battery message once again. This is clearly a FORD only problem. I've owned numerous vehicles from GM, Jeep, Cadillac, etc. All have the latest and greatest electronic technology. None of my other vehicles experienced this issue.

Good afternoon

I recently got a 2024 Maverick Lariat Edition about 8 months ago.

For the past month or so anytime I drive to work in the morning I soon get the message:
Vehicle in Battery Saver mode and I need to drive it to recharge the battery to add remove features...
So I drive it... park it at home, no issues, next day I drive to work... same thing. Battery saver mode again.. everyday.. without fail.

This is getting really annoying what is causing this to go into Battery Saver Mode? I am not leaving on the lights I double checked everything.. What is going on here?

I just want things to work.. correctly.. Especially now that the weather is starting to get cold.. I would like to be able to remote start my car to warm it up... and not deal with this BS BS... (Bull Sh!t Battery Saver). 8 months old battery shouldn't be having issues....
Misery loves company. My 22 lariat has always done this. The only solution is to charge the battery once a week. Running the battery in a constant low voltage state works till it doesn’t. Very hard on batteries. Maybe the new model has resolved this issue but I am not betting on it. Neighbor has a Ram and he deals with the same issue. There are probably lots of vehicles driving around with constantly undercharged batteries and don’t know it. So the Battery Monitoring System is a blessing I guess. At least it tries to conserve the battery and lets us know. A bandaid approach in my opinion but kind of the nature of batteries and them dealing with all the extra electrical crap on cars nowadays. 😵💫

Does the deep sleep inhibit your ability to use the vehicle or are you just annoyed by the messages?
It doesn't allow me to remote start the vehicle, which I would like to be able to do as the weather gets colder.

So yes, it is more than just an annoying app notification.

Not all Mavericks have problems. My 2023 XL Hybrid has never had a single problem in 16 Months. Zero Zip. There is a very high probability that your dealer doesn't have a trained Tech to work on Mavericks. I see posts from hybrid and EB owners mixed together and the Electrical systems are 100% different. You are talking apple and oranges. The dealership may have the same problem.

I have the same issue. Sometimes the truck will do this the following day after driving it. Tested battery and voltage was 11.91. I have contacted the dealership and am waiting for a call back.

I'd been meaning to find out and never saw it stated in oh so many threads. (or I forgot because of oh so many threads focused on hybrid mainly issue)

Does the EB use a clutch alternator controlled by the PCM so it's possible to not always be charging?

In which case a battery management system comes into play - with the potential same goofy figures for low and high and rate, ect.
