I have a 2024 Lariat Hybrid. I don't drive it much, 1600 miles in 6 months, so I occasionally charge the battery. Yesterday, even after fully charging the battery I drove it about 10 miles and as soon as I parked it my Ford Pass states "Vehicle In Battery Saver Mode" "Drive to reconnect Ford Pass." I have had the dealer check both the battery and charging system and they say everything is fine, just charge the battery as needed. My wife's Escape is driven even less than my Maverick and never has this issue. I never had it on my Fusion I owned previously which was driven the same. Anyone else have this issue?

My 2022 Maverick had the problem a couple of times with the app also. Notification showed up in app messages but I never experienced a problem with starting or leaving me stranded. Decided to take the advise from some here and deleted the app as it seems the app itself might be causing the problems. Haven't looked back and have parked it at the house while on a couple week's vacation and left at the airport parking for 14 days without battery problems. Thought about hooking up a trickle charger but never have or needed to.
You say that your Escape and Fusion never had the problems. You didn't mention if they are hybrids and are they on the app (newer models obviously). I had a 2008 Escape and 2013 Cmax hybrids and never had any problems with the batteries (pre app days of course). As a matter of fact, the 12 volt batteries lasted longer than on my non hybrid cars.

What battery is in it? Lead acid or AGM? IF its a lead acid your dealer should have replaced it with an AGM per FORD. My dealer has said that FORD is telling them to replace all lead acid batteries in Mavericks with AGM batteries. Late 2024 and newer are supposed to come with AGM battery from the factory.

This is proof that the original guys here in MavericktruckClub were correct. There is about a dozen guys in here that did their own research and realized that the charging settings was causing the flooded batteries to sulfate and not hold a charge. THEY decided to try putting in an AGM battery after discovering in Forscan that the BMS settings are for an AGM battery.

So if your Ford dealer has been told by Ford Corporate to replace the flood batteries with AGM batteries why do most dealerships continue to tell us to "drive more?" Will the dealerships have to pay for the batteries? Is Ford corporate going to reimburse the dealerships?

I'm just glad that the powers to be finally acknoledge that a flooded battery just won't work in the Maverick. I would venture to say that due to the demand of the Maverick, the availability of AGM batteries would have slowed down the ability to roll those Mavericks out of the assembly plants. But I am guessing this happened.

The Escape is '22 and the Fusion was a '19. Neither are hybrids. I had a '22 Maverick hybrid they changed the battery in it and the problem stopped. I drove the truck today and so far the warning has not popped up.

My 2023 Lariat Hybrid began battery saver mode messages after 6 mo. and after a year and 2 visits to 2 different dealers it still occurs. I too drive infrequently and have had the same experience getting a message after driving awhile. I have recently started checking voltage at the battery after getting the notifications and battery is always at 12.3-12.4v. I believe the battery saver should not occur unless the voltage is 9.5v or below. That leads me to think the FordPass is receiving bad info. There is a service campaign that mentions false battery saver alerts on FordPass. I have never had an issue with starting.

Welcome to Maverick Hybrid life, battery saver mode is just a fact of life for low use owners. This really isn't typical for most hybrids, Ford just put too small of a battery in these combined with poor charging software settings. Why they don't fix the software issue is beyond me, guess they like handing out battery replacements for free.

If you have a 12 v battery at 9.5 Volts it is stone cold dead!

I have a 2023 XLT. I parked it in the garage for 4 months last winter with 700 miles on it. When I got home in the spring, it started right up. Recently it started going into Deep Sleep. I had to jump start it twice. Took it to dealership. They checked battery, etc. Charged battery and sent me home. Told me to drive it more. I drive it almost every day. Two more jump starts since. What kind of car company expects you to charge your new car and jump start it as necessary?

Sitting for months without a battery maintainer on it may have shortened the life of the flooded lead-acid battery. I would start using a maintainer (battery tender) on it if you want to extend the life of it.

Or just go buy an AGM battery, which should give you more trouble-free service. This AC Delco is an AGM drop-in perfect fit replacement. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8878472

Charge the AGM battery fully, reset the BMS, double lock the truck and let it sit for a min of 8 hours so the BMS can learn what kind of battery is in the truck.

Hi there! Will you please send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? We’d like to investigate this concern on our end. Thanks!

Have not heard this. Do they use H4 AGM's?
When I lookup the battery, it's still the original EFB#

So? At 9.5 v the battery is dead.
50% state Charge is 12.0 to 12.1 volts.
0% state of charge is 10.0 V.

What Ford is saying is that if you have a dead battery you’ll get the message.
