It's a pain, but for soft sand, bringing tire pressure down somewhere between 15 and 20psi makes all the difference in the world.

I tried to get use to the auto stop/start function, but my old-school brain could not tolerate it. I bought the eliminator for $89. Simple no tools plug-in. Now when I start the truck, the auto start/stop defaults to the off mode.
