Excellent pics Chris! Thank-you!

So AWD at $3305 includes the Turbo. But that blue sheet of prices shows another $1085 for it.

I didn't add all those numbers up but it might be double dipping. What, actually, was that blue sheet?

that’s how it is on the Ford website when I ordered. $1k for the ecoboost and $3k for AWD

A GVWR of 5205lb WTF?? This is ridiculously low. I’d venture to say the hybrid is equivalent to this.

I’m confused on how this makes sense? it says it’s payload capacity is 1277lb. So this truck weighs 3928 lbs (5205 -1277). That is 250lbs heavier than the hybrid. So if we are towing 4000lb we can also have 877lbs (1277-400lb (10% of trailer)) of ppl and cargo in it. In a perfect world this would mean the total GCWR should be 3928 + 4000 + 877 = 8805lbs .
This is NOT Ford lists the GCWR as, per the towing brochure it’s 8145lb.
If we used this calc it would mean you could only have 217lb of people and cargo in the vehicle if you were towing 4000lbs(8145-4000-3928=217). That’s fucking unrealistic. I CANT TOW 4000lb WITH THE MAVERICK BECAUSE IM TOO FAT even though I bought the 4K tow pkg.
Please tell me I did the calculations wrong!

Let’s look at the 2021 Ranger lariat crew cab for comparison with a claimed 7500lbs towing.
GCWR 12400lbs, Max tow 7500 lbs, curb weight 4441 lbs.
12400 - 7500 - 4441= 459lbs available for people and cargo. Makes sense 2 people can sit in while the vehicle is at its max towing.

This makes me believe Ford need to advertise the towing capacity as 3750lb for the maverick. This actually pisses me off a little. The GCWR on the maverick should be higher. Just 100-200lbs

Has anyone figured out what the bolt pattern is I'd say it's going to be 5 on 108 but not sure

Weird. I ordered on 7/8 with "Preferred Equipment Package 100A XL w/AWD and 2.0 Ecoboost w/8 speed Auto Trans" for $3305.

just adding the ecoboost engine without AWD adds $1000, try to compare it to the hybrid Pricing. You’ll see it go up.

yep, simple overall maintenance! Otherwise, what is the use of having a full size spare

I figured the main advantage would be if I have a flat on a busy weekend, I can put the full size on and continue living life for a few days until I can get to a tire shop.

With the small tire I'd be kinda worried about safety especially if EG, my plans had me doing 70 on a interstate.

Never even knew about the rotating spare thing.

Okay, I'm starting to figure it out. I was just kind of thinking it was like a window sticker for the pictured truck.

I didn't do your calculations again, but it looks correct to me. There are multiple weight limits on any given vehicle that reduce the real towing capacity to less than advertised.
Another way your max tow rating gets devalued is elevation. Ford tells customers that for every 1000 feet above sea-level you have to reduce your tow capacity by 2%.
So if you are 5000 feet above sea level instead of 10,000lbs in an f-150, now you can only tow 9,000. That adds up quick going over a mountain pass.

Also, for the record... The more I look at other trucks the stupider these advertised ratings get. I don't remember what it was... But the numbers were something like tow capacity 12000lbs, and payload 1350lbs, so literally any weight in the truck including the driver made the tow rating go down. (assuming a 12.5% tongue load)

The non-FX4 Lariat gets the 18" wheels, the FX4 unique wheels are 17" with the package. I don't understand how the FX4 gets you smaller and skinnier, but I guess to try and entice people to upgrade to the $800 alloy wheel/tire package for the 235s.
I didn't know that! That doesn't make sense to put a smaller wheel on a vehicle designed to off-road.
