I have an early '22 Mav XLT, 2.0 EB, AWD, FX4 package. Instrument cluster is upgraded to the Lariat style because of the FX4. I had my oil changed at the Ford dealership before the reminder came on, about a month ago. Apparently they didn't reset the oil life. Now the reminder always comes...
I have the Truxedo Pro X15 and highly recommend it. Well made, easy to use. Just barely $300. Easy install. When it's rolled up, it takes up very little room, maximizes the use of the bed length. Mostly water tight except at the tailgate corners. Seems to hold up well in automatic car washes.
I added the tow package and FX4 package to get the upgraded cooling capacity, specifically for A/C performance in LV, NV heat. I'm not disappointed in the least! A/C works great!
I think the 2.0 EB is very smooth. It's virtually unnoticeable at idle. No harshness when driving.
Maybe the tester was confused with something else he tested.
I was concerned about AC performance before the Las Vegas summer hit. That's the main reason I got the tow package with the FX4 package - for the upgraded cooling system. No issues! I'm very happy with it. Blows cold even in city traffic during summer afternoon heat.
I have a similar build, but with AWD, FX4, 17" wheel upgrade, added soft roll up tonneau and medium tint front windows. Had it ceramic coated (it stays in the driveway, my wife's Explorer and my other toy stay in the garage).
Ceramic coat makes the Alto Blue pop! The sparkle is enhanced and...
I also have the exact same problem in the same place on the left side. I installed a Truxedo Pro X15 soft toll up tonneau cover in January. Fast forward to hot Las Vegas summer and the bulge appeared. Can't see how the mounting of the rail contributes to the problem. Seems like a Mav problem...
The slogan sucks. On a more serious note, how about, Take It With Maverick. Emphasizes the truck bed capabilities above and beyond a typical SUV or sedan.
Now, for our stoner owners, Bake it with Maverick.
We've hit a couple low 90 days so far in LV, NV. Strange annoyance, if I don't use recirc on the AC, I get a whistling sound that increases with fan speed, not road speed. All windows up. No whistle when at speed with nothing running. Just whistles with AC only.
I ordered my Mav from Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas in August and got it almost exactly 3 months later in November. The order process went perfectly. They knew what they were doing when writing a special order. Ford emails came through regularly. I bought it at MSRP plus $499 doc fee plus sales tax...
I ordered from Gaudin Ford in early August and took delivery in early November. No funny business. Sticker plus $499 doc fee (free money for Gaudin), plus tax.
