Had to make it official. Lol. MTE reached zero right before pulling into the gas station. ~14.7 gallons to first click at the pump. Ford's MPG was conservative this tank, I may adjust it again after the next fill up.

55.3 mpg for an entire tankful of gas? Wow! That's absolutely amazing. I've had a few "trips" (local drives) where I saw 55+ mpg on the display (fairly well calibrated after adjusting it a few times using the "Engineering Test" mode), but never got CLOSE to that figure for a whole tank. That's quite an achievement. Any techniques you use that you could share with other Hybrid drivers? (Always looking to learn from those who are kicking butt!)

I was telling my wife about this, and she said "I bet his wife snuck a couple of gallons in there sometime, just to mess with him... Of course, I would never do anything like that to you, Honey..." (Statement followed with this:  ) She can be pretty funny!

No tricks. Lol. Unfortunately, just lots of city driving in the perfect temperatures. Had a couple highway stints mixed in there as well which impacted mpg. If I hyper-miled it and did the speed limit I could probably do 900.

You're driving it wrong then, must have your foot to the floor, or your on the highway alot or in Sport mode. I'm only on my 2nd tank and getting over 600miles per fill up, now I drive 8.4 miles to work and back (suburb/ light country roads 25-50 mph) will do 5.4 miles in electric mode and says 52+mpg.
Change your screen to EV COACH.
I drive in normal and do not floor it. I even try and use the EV coach to keep it in electric. 90% of my driving is City also so none of the above

Just had my best tank ever! 58.2 mpg. No doubt if I kept going I would have made it to 900 mpt, but I got stuff to do and am not trying to get stranded.

On Normal mode by the way. Just got tired of having to switch to eco so I did not bother on this tank.

Cool.
My MPG is better than most and I live close to you.

Even though it costs more, I just read a map that shows coastal California is NO LONGER required to use "reformulated gasoline" because all the emissions have gotten lower.

Maybe we are getting the high calorie (btu) stuff now? I get into the 50+ MPG without much effort.

I'm not sure if 900 MPT is even possible. here are my last three fill ups the last one is low because of the 110+ temps we are having here in PHX and the AC is running all the time.

Come on, give it the old college try. You can get to 1,000 mpt. I can do it with my eco. I just need to put a few 5 gallon buckets in the bed filled with gas and run a hose from them down the gas fill pipe.

Now, if the hybrid has the same fuel capacity as your Eco, 900 Miles would be very easy!!! Cloe to a 1K.

Well i'm with skidazzle i hit a 520-540 ish tank on the 1st tank and it took an even 13 gal, but you gotta work for it, i thought florida would be Hybrid mecca being so flat, but i guess we got less coasting (down hills) roads, but still learning hybrid style driving

High MPG is more about how much AC you are using... If you have temp set at LO, that means the AC is running all the time, which means the ICE is running more, which means low MPG. Also stay off the highway, I Have gotten 800 miles to a tank, it's very doable, but now 900 miles a tank, is not. I wish the Hybrid had the same tank size as the EB, then 900 miles would be doable.

"900 miles a tank is not."

Them's fightin' words.

I'd like to do a 900 mile low speed cannonball run for charity.

Everyone donates: If I make it, I get half the pot, and a pre-selected charity gets half of the pot.

If I don't make it, everything goes to charity. I get nothing.

Anyone "game"???

50 people at $50 each would make it interesting. More the merrier.

Would film it / live stream it some how.
Have tamper-evident "security" seal on the tank, etc. so no tampering mid-route. Have some type of impartial "referee" / judge as well.

All of these mpg are so awesome to see. I really wanted a hybrid but got too worried about all the deep sleep and other issues happening that I decided to do Ecoboost. I don't drive very far anyway but not filling up every week or so would've been so cool.

Ya... I work 5 days a week.
If I don't go anywhere in the Mav on the weekends, I commute 6 weeks on a tankful.

But not every time. Because I do truck stuff some weekends. And tow sometimes.

Trust me I have tried 900 miles (I guess if I could set all the traffic lights on my commute as green, I could get 900 miles), now, if we can retrofit the EB tank in our Maverick 900 miles is very doable, even 1000 miles. NOW, that would be an upgrade I would really think about doing.

Not one issue with mine with deep sleep, I've had the grabby brakes and air bag replaced, but my maverick has never left me stranded.
