That's correct. For 2025, the 3.81:1 final drive ratio has been standardized for all Ecoboost models.
Do all of the 2025 Mavericks come Standard with the Trailer Hitch or only the 2.0 Eco Boost AWD Models?

It seems like this truck is very upgradable too. It doesn't seem to hard to add any of these things. Maybe besides the programming. (Not saying i will since i have the non 4k) but definitely better than those euro swiss watch automobiles.

Thinking of just adding a 7 pin to mine
Do you know how a 7-pin would be added to a Lariat?

I assume you'd want 7-pin and a brake controller?

The brake controller for the trailer brakes is the important part.

I also assume you already have the hitch and 4-pin connector.

It's not difficult. It's not very expensive.
I went hard wired to make mine very similar to how a manufacturer would have done it. I have heard of, but have never tried a "wireless" brake controller. And honestly, I'd feel it was less reliable.

Basically all the parts can be DIY. And it's an hour of work for the experienced. Maybe 2 hours for first timers.

Step one, the connector:
Step two, add brake controller.

cheap controller and a more expensive more feature rich brake controller:

PS you'll have to cut a "hole" or slot or something in your back of your truck to put the new larger 7-pin socket. That may be the most difficult part of the whole job. Or using the bracket in the photo you "can" simply screw it to the back bumper but it won't look professional, but will work.

Interesting, there is a diagram for the 2.0L which you showed, but there isn't a diagram for the 1.5L cooler. All i see is an error

I also find it interesting that the trans oil cooler radiator covers about 1:4 of the engine radiator. Maybe its all evened out with the dual 25” cooling fan assembly on the opposing side.
1.5L cooler ? Did U mean 2.5L ?
Or the 1.5L BS Dragon engine, the three banger?

The trans oil cooler does not ‘cover’ any part of the radiator.
Air flows right through it and so fast the heat exchange into the main radiator is so minimal that’s it’s a non issue.

The only thing you need to consider is the GCVWR. Exceed this and you will invalidate your warranty and invalidate your insurance. GCVWR = GVWR + Payload + Towing Capacity. Towing Capacity is based on SAE J2807 and includes a number of rigorous tests such as emergency braking, climbing a steep grade in 100 F+ weather, etc.

Towing more than a vehicle is rated for is irresponsible.
I was fined once for being 2,200 overweight in a class five tractor trailer.
My cargo was 51,000 pounds, I had five axles. It cost me $350.
It had to do with the distance between my tractor wheels and the trailer wheels.
I was using a 48’ trailer.
My 53’ trailer was in the shop that day.

There was no invalidating insurance issues or truck warranty in the commercial field.

As for safety 2,200 pounds overweight is a small percentage of 81,000 pounds GVWR

But 8,100 GVRW on the Mav hits that same ratio at 220 pounds overweight.
The Mav does not have the extreme power of Air brakes.

please read the other comments in this post as ive already addressed this confusion.

No not the hybrid 2.5. I was just speculating that ford is using the 1.5L oil cooler used for the engine from the bronco sport. Since ford uses the same platform for the maverick.

That's pretty normal. I've added aftermarket transmission coolers to a several vehicles, and this is a very typical size, even for a full-size vehicle. The transmission doesn't generate nearly as much heat as an engine, so it doesn't need the full surface area of the radiator. The smaller the trans cooler is, the better the flow for the radiator and condenser. And of course in this case it's only supplementing the water to oil cooler anyway.

I don't think the 4K fan is dual. It's a single fan as I recall.
Large single fan.

I hear ya.

A couple of things:
A private non-commercial driver cannot be cited for weight in any state I've been to, which is most of them. There has to be an observable violation. Swerving, driving too slow, impaired vision if all your mirrors are blocked, or some other observable unsafe act.

Second, air brakes are not really more powerful than hydraulic brakes.
It's the number of wheels that count.
10 psi of air will stop a train.

Here are pics of the EB 4K tow fan and supplemental cooler line attachments that I promised. I kept waiting for a better natural light pic but the sun hasn't cooperated lately so these will have to do for now.

If you are right with the importance of this weight rating, where would a police officer find it on the vehicle? The VIN and data sticker on the B pillar only list GVWR and each axle weight rating, which is routinely enforced.

If not listed on the vehicle its a stretch to enforce a generic spec that can change with any modification.

they can only pull you over if they see the trailer swaying or generally a reason for the stop. There is no geometric reason the mav cant tow 4k since the 4k doesn’t include geometry changes.

Your wrong, any law enforcement officer can stop you for weight, the issue is having a certified scale available and the specific forms (and training) for the fine calculations.
