  1. Traded my Maverick in.

My co worker has a Lincoln Corsair and it has been a total lemon for her and she bought it new. This platinum Explorer is pretty plush. Genuine leather seats heated and cooled in front, heated in middle captains chairs. 980 watt 14 speaker B&O sound system. Did she look at a platinum model...
  2. Traded my Maverick in.

I traded my 2023 Lariat for a larger and more luxurious Ford. A 2025 Explorer Platinum 4WD with the 400 horsepower twin turbo 3.0. Very impressive but not a pickup. Still lots of room in the back with the third and second row of seats down. So enjoy your mavericks, I did for 2 years.
  3. Very expensive to insure the Maverick

    allstate was cheaper for me.
  4. Very expensive to insure the Maverick

Just found out. Insurance went down 5.00 for the 2025 explorer and it is a $61000 Suv.
  5. Very expensive to insure the Maverick

I wonder what my insurance is going to be now that I traded my Maverick for a Explorer.
  6. Traded mine in.

Boses'es granddaughter has a corsair. Biggest lemon I ever saw.
  7. Traded mine in.

You need at least 90 octane. 87 won't work. Too much turbo boost.
  8. Traded mine in.

I was told that the twin turbo 400 horsepower engine would not be available except in the ST. The one I bought in a Platinum luxury model with the same engine but this year could be the last. I don't know what is in the police package. All the local police explorers here are hybrids with AWD.

  10. Traded mine in.

Searching for luxury I traded my 23 lariat for a new 25 Explorer Platinum with the 400hp twin turbo ecoboost engine. Had looked at a ST but they had a platinum V6 loaded in rapid red and I couldn't resist. If you fold both sets of seats it has more flat floor room than my Maverick. If they...
  11. Fuel economy hybrid vs turbo

I believe the main advantage of the hybrid is in in town driving. At sustained speeds of 70 mph there should be less difference. My EB AWD 4K tow averages around 35mpg at 70mph but I have seen it as high as 40. All with A/C on.
  12. Maverick crushing Santa Cruz sales in 2025

I suspect most people do not look to Hyundai as a truck company like they do to Ford, the number 1 selling truck brand in the US. I have owned both. Only reason I got rid of the Hyundai, it was totaled in a wreck. I am hoping my Ford may last longer too.
  13. Maverick crushing Santa Cruz sales in 2025

Hyundai is a bid more expensive but you get a little more fancy interior in the Hyundai. I have owned both and the Hyundai was a limited and my Ford is a Lariat. Hyundai about 3K more expensive truck.
  14. Does Econo Mode help much with fuel consumption?

A little in stop and go conditions but not much if any on sustained highway speeds. It causes more gentle acceleration. Also causes the cruise control to operate more smoothly.
  15. Fuel Consumption shocking

Yes, driven on mostly highway roads with level ground and speeds less then 70mph it is possible to approach 40mpg with a ecoboost truck. I can often do that on mine and it is AWD and has the 4K tow package too. I have intake and exhaust mods also that help a little.
  16. Tailgate letter inserts - where to buy?

I bought mine from Ford parts, since my truck is hot pepper red and has the BAP I chose Black chrome. Looks black but also looks chrome just depending on light and the viewing angle.
  17. Red side badge

I been considering that since my truck is hot pepper red with the BAP so my Lariat letters are black on a black background. Not very visible.
  18. Temperature sensor issue with S&B cold air intake

My truck is a Lariat so no additional plumbing.
  19. Temperature sensor issue with S&B cold air intake

Yes leave the battery disconnected so the computer can relearn the new temp and airflow so there will be no light. I had no problem on mine. Sorry mine is dusty, needs to be cleaned.
