I find something very odd. I ordered a fully loaded Maverick Lariat in the middle of October. Towards the end of February there was a lot of discussion here that the chances of getting that well equipped of a truck was going to be slim. Watching the Tim Bartz videos basically confirmed that I was not going to be selected. So, I decided I would order a Ranger. Going through the options I landed on a Lariat Tremor with the 501A package {basically the luxury package} and the tow package. Placed my order on Feb 25th. The odd thing is I have to believe that a fully loaded Ranger has just as many or even more constrained items than a fully loaded Maverick. The only difference between my builds was basically a sunroof on the Maverick so very similar in all of the other "bells and whistles" in the end. Got an email this morning that my Ranger is scheduled for production in May. Now, it could be that the Ranger does not have as high of a demand as the Maverick is experiencing but I do find it odd that it only took a month to have the Ranger scheduled and there are people that have been waiting for a Maverick for 9 months now. Sorry, not trying to upset people but just wanted to let this group know. I will say I actually found a Ranger Lariat Tremor on a lot earlier this month for under MSRP so I grabbed it the day I found it so I wont be taking delivery of either of my orders but I still find it upsetting that Ford doesn't appear to be shifting their heavily constrained parts {chips} to clearing out this Maverick mess. I will also say if anyone is bailing out on the Maverick, the Ranger so far has been a great option for me and it only took less than an hour to find one on a local lot that fit what I was looking for {although filling it up at the gas station is scary as hell - 18 gallon tank and averaging 19.7 mpg so far}.
Rangers are about to get a refresh of body style so they are less in demand. Therefore it is easier to get one. Maverick is a new model with a lot of desirable features like high MPGs, new style looks, more practical size, etc. Therefore Maverick has a lot more demand and longer wait time.

Most likely that is the case. They probably got tired of seeing all the whining and moaning on this board every Thursday. Now it is up to the dealerships to deal with it! They are probably tired of having a bunch of armchair manufacturing and production specialists telling them every week how poorly they are conducting operations without being armed with all the facts. As many others have said many times, manufacturing a car/truck is an extremely complicated logistical process, and now with the inability to have dealer lots fully stocked, the rules of the game have changed completely and it is going to take several years to get the systems figured out.
I know that Ford is monitoring this forum threw their media team, why the team doesn't post more on here is beyond me, because good customer relations goes a long way. Everyone can understand supply issues, constraints and processes breaking down, because we see the same thing in other parts of the economy. What isn't understandable is someone who ordered in June still hasn't received a build date while others with later order dates have. It boils down to the allocation system Ford uses and refuses to explain in any clear terms how it works. I've read a number of different theories and even read a direct quote from a Ford manager in which he explained exactly how the allocation system worked, however, the quote was from 2008! Although, after reading it I suspect, based on what I've in scheduling, that the system is still basically the same thing still being used by Ford. So the misery continues each for all those who believed in Ford and the Maverick yet still get handed nothing in return for that belief! Oh I forgot there was the FITS kit 😅!

Also used Ford chat to check my order. I did get a VIN and production date of May 9th. Looks good for early order hybrids.

you lost me at: 18 gallon tank and averaging 19.7 mpg so far
This thread is dying embers anyway.....
I have been browsing Rangers a tiny bit. I have heard a full size F150 hybrid can get 30 mpg's.
Decisions decisions..........nah........just cannot let go of the Maverick😍

Ordered my Rapid red First editon hybrid lariat lux, copilot 360 on Jul 12 from Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, VA. I would imagine folks who ordered Broncos are thinking the same thing about the chips going to build Mavericks...

Agreed - my point is that instead of some people waiting a year and a half, others waiting 9 months and others 30 days Ford needs to figure out how to get it to the point where regardless of what model you order, the wait time is basically the same across the board. I understand that during these times there are other challenges being presented so maybe once the supply chains have recovered it will even out better.

Used the chat to inquire about my order and it's still processing. Congrats to the people who have been scheduled.

Think eco boost get scheduled so much earlier than the hybrids. Think there is that as others have said perhaps less demand with a new update coning out.
