That transmission issue may be something else. My 2023 had the noises from day one. Ford contacted me too, but they just coordinate you to talk to the dealer. Nothing special.
@Mrgoochio My 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid that was totaled had those sounds a lot more audible than my 2024. Still occurs in my 2024 but it is faint and doesn't bother me. I am not sure if anything can be done about it by your dealership unless Ford gets involved and accepts that this is an issue.
You don't need to get a lawyer yourself. Tell your insurance company exactly what happened and they will go after the dealer's insurance company.
You will get your money back. Maverick Hybrids are still hard to come by, and your payout should be really good - maybe even more than what you paid.
Make sure your frame underneath is not bent. This is a unibody vehicle. Someone hit my previous Maverick right on the hitch while it was parked and it bent the frame, which didn't look like much damage, but the car was totaled by the insurance company.
If you put a ton of miles on your '23 then you can go through the hassle of selling the '23 and buying the 24. You will probably pay a premium for this. Doesn't make sense now to flip, too risky in my opinion.
Not possible in my case, I always check tire pressures and keep them at the levels specified in the door jambs. First thing I did when I bought the vehicle was check tire pressure.
I had a 2023 Maverick Hybrid (Built in Dec 2022) and I got around 37-38 MPG on avg. That car was totaled, so I ordered another one.
So far, my 2024 Maverick Hybrid is getting around 42 MPG, with the same kind of driving I have been doing. I noticed it immediately.
I really believe that some...
I did not have a chance to get it looked at. My 2023 Maverick was totaled.
However, I have a 2024 Maverick now and it doesn’t have the sounds as loud. I hardly notice it. Also the engine in my 2024 Maverick seems tuned better as I get better mileage. Maybe I used to have a dud?
The Maverick definitely deserves this award.
Funny how this "Best Compact Truck 2024" article shows a Maverick in Cyber Orange which is not available for 2024.
My 2023 Maverick XLT that I purchased in January was totaled in August while being parked on the street. Naturally, I quickly ordered a nearly exact replacement 2024. Magically, it appeared 3 months later as one of the first 24's at the dealer. I think I got lucky.
I only drove it for 2 days...
This model year 3 is the lowest a dealer can set a PC to. A month ago, I ordered another Maverick after my original 2023 Maverick was totaled from the rear. I told the dealer the situation and they gave me a priority code of 5. My 2024 Maverick was recently scheduled in the first scheduling session.
