I have been looking for a used Maverick under $20,000.
I cannot find anything under $24,000 even for a used XL with a bunch of miles on it. Maybe prices will normalize with increased production numbers.
Manual stick shift anything = fun to drive.
I feel sorry for the young people. Stick shift vehicles are nearly obsolete. You missed out.
My 2002 Ford ZX2 manual 5 speed beats all mine. It is small and nimble. Wish I had 5 new ones.
Plus it had a fun commercial.
I was thinking the exact same thing. These terms are newer and even older mechanics may not know meanings. Credit=Pic taken from MTC "fossil" member.
PTU= Power transfer unit
ECVT=Electro (electric) continuously variable transmission
RDU=Rear drive unit
I did Ford Maverick searches on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.
Price between $15000 and $25000 in the Denver area, 100 mile radius.
Nothing........still price gouging and way over MSRP for used Mavs with quite a bit of miles on them.
Same with a couple dealers in this area......new/used...
Any Maverick trim level is a bargain compared to what most departments are getting.
The taxpayer in Meridian ID did better than us Denver $$$ taxpayers.
I like it, but before I give it my unofficial stamp of DIY approval, I want some removable cross strapping/tie downs for crosswind resistance. Either that or a signed document that you will never ever drive on windy days. HAHA
I have used this dash cam for over a year now. Highly recommend it. Easy to setup.
I transfer this dash cam to whatever vehicle I am driving, easy enough.
I had a different cheaper dash cam and it has since stopped working.
Calm down.
If you are that concerned about a very rare possibility of fire, remove the shield from under the engine.
We have been driving cars without under engine shields for decades. The shield saves maybe a fraction of gas (MPG).
Thread Title is a little deceptive, don't you think?
This is more of an accident.
:sneaky:Title leads one to believe it is a factory defect or poor build.
Rock Auto is my "go to" for most parts.
The nice thing about the Maverick, it is based on Ford Escape and Ford Bronco Sport, "C2" platforms.
The brake replacement procedure should be very similar to those slightly older vehicles.
Also, the part numbers seem to match perfectly in most cases...
I had to initial a 48 hour time limit the second it lands at dealer. Sounds like your dealer was being a bit shady, and not upfront though. I feel your pain, so sorry.
