So, my 2024 XLT hybrid sat for almost 2 months without being used. Please don’t tell me what I should have done such as disconnect the negative battery cable because that just didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. Now I have charged it using a trickle charger and it tells me the battery is full. But when I get in the truck and try to start it absolutely nothing happens. Nothing on the dash display no click do nothing. It seems like it’s completely dead. Any suggestions?

Disconnect the battery, fully charge it, and perform a BMS reset. Or complain to the dealer and try to get a replacement. My local dealer refused to do anything except offer to sell me an overpriced battery that will die again.

It's not your fault, but it is probably going to be your problem unless Ford issues an actual recall. They have only issued "Special Service Messages" SSM 53087 (promised a Battery Management software fix in Q1, never released), and SSM 53648 (same SSM, but now the software fix is pushed back to Q2).

After 14 days Deep Sleep mode should have engaged saving some battery draw, and when voltage got low other Battery Saver functions should have been engaged.

Not sure the draw of the remote receiver always being on listening for the key fob ever turns off, so perhaps enough draw to drain it eventually.

So no not normally unless really months at a time would neg terminal need to be pulled.

Charged thru underhood connections - or disconnected and charged and connected again?

Does trickle charger have repair function if left on long enough - or just the charge it up ability?

The charger does have a repair function. I’ll try that. Thanks

IMO, youll save yourself a lot of headaches if you just go buy a new AGM battery and swap out the OEM battery for it.

Mine came with a AGM , Apparently. see photo. Have not had any issues, so far. On a 200 mile ride, the voltage read 14.7-on highway or stopped at a light, which seemed odd but I don't know.

It does. There's a hardware issue on the EcoBoost and a software issue on the hybrid.

Afaik, there was actually a recall on the Ecoboost batteries, and the fix was replacing it with an AGM.

I may also be uninformed on what the actual fix was, so if that wasn't it, anyone may feel free to correct me.

Ok, I am not well informed, I thought hybrid car will continue to drain power from 12V battery, mismanagement or "bad" battery caused these issues, like deep sleep ect, but not for the ecoboost engine, looks like I am wrong.

You may just have a bad battery that is completely dead. As someone suggested, if you just put the same size AGM battery in your hybrid it will solve all of your problems —of course if they are related to the 12 V battery.

For those commenting wondering if what you heard is right.

A range of EB's (ICE only) were made with FLA's included - and they ended up being a problem with actual defect.
That is the recall - to get AGM's put in like rest of the EB's got.

It has been observed to have some charging strategy issues - because it has the same functions as the hybrid when off - listening for remotes to unlock, powering door sensors if keyless entry, reporting up to Ford on turnoff, and a ping every hour to keep the cell network up for remote access (startup/unlock, ect), ect.

You'd be hard pressed to not find a vehicle with a bunch of things constantly running to some degree.

AGM just handles that better.
