  1. Drivers door locks on its own

Honestly, I don't recall if I heard the mechanism or not. This happened a few days ago at this point.
  2. Drivers door locks on its own

I had this happen to me the other day when I got out to fill up with gas. Phone was in the truck. Keys were in the center console. Got out and shut the driver's side door by pushing it shut while touching the metal frame of the door (made sure not to even brush the handle, as I had heard that...
  3. Proposed federal yearly fee for Hybrids

I can understand a fee for EVs since they pay no fuel tax currently, but a fee for hybrids seems idiotic.
  4. Auto Stop/Start may be going away (per EPA)

Ahhh yes, the Ford 8f35 which has a stellar reputation for being robust /s I'd wager a guess here, but the hf55 will likely out-last any 8f35 even in towing over the course of thousands of miles.
  5. How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

First time I ever sat in a Maverick was when I drove my special order off the lot.
  6. Looking to buy 25 AWD Hybrid - Have these issues been remedied?

MY25 hybrid Mavericks have an AGM battery, which should fix these issues. In previous years, that was 'the fix' for the battery issue. MY25 Mavericks have a different part no. for the CV Axles. Whether that means they are beefed up or what, I do not know. I theorize that it was attempted to...
  7. Manufactured obsolescence

It is a check engine light. You're still new enough and low enough miles to be within the powertrain warranty. Take it into the dealership and have them check the codes, it might still be covered.
  8. Santa Cruz vs Maverick comparison - One didn't survive...

I somehow knew which one wouldn't survive before the video even started. Hyundai engines are not known for their reliability.
  9. OUCH! Tiny pin prick! Sidewall!!!

I had to replace one of the tires on my '25 XLT Hybrid already (with < 800 miles on the ODO). Picked up a screw in an in-development neighborhood, and my TPMS told me about it a couple days later.
  10. Obligatory farewell post

Ahh. Fair. I forgot about the hybrid F-150. Counter-argument to that is the hybrid F-150 is more utilizing the hybrid for low-end torque rather than fuel efficiency. The EPA rating on that is pretty abysmal for a hybrid last time I checked.
  11. Obligatory farewell post

As far as I am aware, Ford doesn't offer an AWD hybrid on any other models besides the Maverick, so this would probably be FWD-only. I think maybe the Lincoln Nautilus has optional AWD on their hybrid drivetrain, though?
  12. 2024 XLT battery issues

Afaik, there was actually a recall on the Ecoboost batteries, and the fix was replacing it with an AGM. I may also be uninformed on what the actual fix was, so if that wasn't it, anyone may feel free to correct me.
  13. Android Auto Messing with cell phone when not in the Truck

Im assuming the Maverick in question is a 2025, since that is what is in their profile pic. No need for a dongle. Mine does not connect bluetooth/AA until I turn the truck on. Unlocking it or opening the door does not turn on the bluetooth connectivity at all. I don't think I would expect...
  14. Front License Plate Bracket

So you have a part number, what is the issue? If you dont want to drill holes, that makes sense, but if you want to use the OEM front license plate bracket, you will have to drill holes. Ford left three little hole markers in the bumper where the holes should go. If you don't have a rivet...
  15. Android Auto Messing with cell phone when not in the Truck

I haven't had this behavior at all. The phone shouldn't be connected to the truck at all if the truck is truly shut off, so my money is on your phone misbehaving before I lay the blame on the truck.
  16. 2024 XLT battery issues

IMO, youll save yourself a lot of headaches if you just go buy a new AGM battery and swap out the OEM battery for it.
  17. Maverick Hybrid Half Axles are a joke

Im assuming they are referring to the Ecoboost model, since the hybrid 12v is under the back seat. :)
  18. Maverick Hybrid Half Axles are a joke

I can't speak for others, but the MY25 hybrid mavericks have AGM batteries.
