Hi I took possession of my maverick last month, and have experienced the FordPass battery saving mode twice. Each time the Maverick sat just over 7 days..
I've read several forum threads about this issue, and was wondering if my stock battery is the plain flooded cell type (see attached image).
I couldn't find an exact match using an internet search, but suspect that it is NOT an AGM type.

It’s the original flooded POS. It’s not even the better flooded POS that Ford is using to replace these as they die.

Hi,
Yep, you have the same 390A Mexican Battery that came in my new 6/2024 Lariat.
I’ve been tracking the countless battery sleep issues on this forum and proactively put my NOCO 5 Battery charger on the under hood jump connectors weekly.
Never have had any battery issues to date. (Not cold here yet in AL)
when I do, I’ll install an AGM battery.

Sitting isn't as much of a problem as driving it short distances as I think it uses more 12v than it can put back during a short drive. If you do let it sit for days at a time you could just trickle charge it back to full once a month or so.

So there's the date stamp - on the negative terminal!
Thank you for that pic made it stand out.
No wonder I couldn't find a sticker - besides trying to see one thru narrow slot.

Week 19 of 2024 it appears.

Since for awhile it appears Ford was putting in a larger CCA version of this (but I recall same 65 min RC), I think not made in Spain - but it appears some of these 24MY like mine are the winner of going back to this smaller battery.
And from that date they must have spec'd it - not found them on a rack.

Perhaps they are better made now. :ROFLMAO:

I've seen the system start turning off the bed light, and 12 V plugs - sooner and sooner as time goes on, no where near max time allowed anymore.
I'm waiting for the deep sleep and resulting notices - but so far morning resting voltage low of maybe 11.9 once.

Daily driver, mainly highway engine running.
Time on the road has no bearing to ability to charge, except that does cause the HVB to be able to charge the 12V battery, exactly the same as sitting with key in ON position parked, though started is better so engine can run as needed to charge HVB.

System settings to what it thinks is an allowed minimum before charging, and max limit and rate of charge - with a small battery - of questionable quality - those are the issues.

It tracks usage thru the BMS (if that is accurate) to know what it needs - it's just the preset limits seem to be badly chosen.
Cumulative Charge On, Discharge Off, Running, Sleeping.

Spain. Does label actually say different, as they did have some for a time?

Except made in Spain....how is that cost effective? A cargo ship full of car batteries...lead a** indeed.

Unless they are making the batteries similar to this in Spain, or perhaps doing this elsewhere and applying labels in Spain!
