Sorry if this isn't the right spot for this.
Would the high output 2.3 for the mustang from Ford performance be a drop in like the Corsair? I saw something about needing a front wheel drive oriented turbo, but would that be as easy as swapping the exhaust manifold and turbo? Would the rest of the swap be the same? Just trying to slowly plot my path for a swap when my warranty runs out.
I've also been seeing people talk about putting 2.3 heads on the 2.0 block, is the stock ecu going to recognize that or will that be a more in depth tune?
Coming from the world of Subaru where it's just expensive Lego.

first person I’ve seen mention this.. I was wondering the same thing a while ago when people started swapping in 2.3 out of the corsairs. I’d be curious if it was as simple as a manifold swap.

Also would be curious if the built motors from mountune would “bolt” in seeing as they make fully built motors for 2.0 from the ST focus as well as some performance items for stock 2.0 eco boosts. Maybe we’ll start seeing if the cams from them work and can be tuned with the 2.0 in the mavericks. 🤔

LOL, Until someone comes up with better CV joints, adding more power is a pretty good joke. If anything, the current halfshafts would appear to need less power that what they're shipping.

Fastmavericks and Deuces are both over 300 at the wheels and seen to be fine from the few posts I've seen.

Hybrids and Ecoboosts have different CV joints and Axles because they have completely different Transmissions. Even the FWD vs AWD ecoboost probably has different axles..

I dont have specifics for you, but dont fear, all cars are expensive legos. Honestly its not alot more complex to put a small block chevy in your Maverick(not that I would ever condone it) than it is to put a 2.3 in.

Just keep diving in. You'll figure it out.

As to the CV comments. A leaky seal on a stamped clamp isnt a stress fractured breakage.

I get that you can toss just about any motor in anything you want with enough time, modification, and money. Looking for the more direct plug and play feedback.

Put a Focus RS 2.3 powertrain (350/350) in a Maverick. AWD compatible.. Now that would be interesting…adding a 3rd pedal and proper cooling would be the challenge...

Honestly, Ford needs to sell a crate EV motor that will fit. That way when I'm done long-distance, scout driving I can convert to a full EV and be done.

I love seeing folks like you modifying vehicles. Some are just brilliant. However, I myself am not understanding why the Maverick. I mean it's a truck that's as fast as a 440 six pack Super Bee. Please don't let me influence you and please post your results here. I look forward to seeing and reading about it. Just remember to add to the stopping power as well (like I said, folks like you are fascinating and I like having you around).

Eco boost not so much the problem and you can always go tremor axles ( additional 1/8 “ thicker and bigger joints ), just ordered another set to widen 3 1/2” each side . The tremor axles are only $140 and $180 complete . Cheap insurance I’d say if busting more than 400 wheel hp or going to 33” tires like I’m doing .

You should go into business with the widened halfshafts. You'd make a killing from every owner who has put a lift kit in.

Do you have those part numbers for the tremor axles? I haven’t found a way to enter Tremor as a trim option when looking at Ford parts online stores, just xl, xlt, and lariat. And we’re talking front and rear?
