Swap 2.3 Mustang Turbos onto 2.0 Maverick?

Has anyone looked into the turbos on the 2.3 Mustangs? Can they be swapped to the Maverick? If so I would think that the Mustang community has probably invested a lot more energy into aftermarket turbo options

Last I knew, they were still vacuum actuated wastegate, but that may have changed with the 2024's. I haven't had a chance to look that for into it. Hopefully they switch to electronic so that becomes a cheap upgrade with headroom for power over even the corsair 2.3L turbo.

I think that you are right, I do think they still have vacuum wastegates. I was really wondering beyond that. You had mentioned to me that there are aftermarket electronic wastegates and I see that Turbosmart and Garrett has them. If I can find the perfect turbo then I think that I am willing to bite the bullet and go that route.

I’m following this as I have a turbo off my focus rs with under 4k miles on it sitting in my garage. That turbo is bigger than the mustang even.

No my engine predated the head gasket issue. I went with a Livernois built long block and big turbo. So my power goals far exceeded what the stock engine would have handled. I still have the stock engine in my garage also.
