What kind of driving? Aggressive? Light? 80mph? City? Towing?
Normal driving. I haven't had it over 70 mph yet. I'm on the tank of gas the dealer put on. I have the 2.0 , FX/4 W/tow package. I just started using the adaptive cruise control. I set it to 65. I will report back my MPG after a couple of trips to work and back. My commute to work is 23 miles 1 way.

I'm up to 150 miles and the dash reading is 26 MPG. This is about 1/3 city and 2/3 highway driving. Dealer gas so probably 87.

Initial city driving was pretty aggressive since I was checking things out. Since then I've been pretty easy on it.

12 mi test drive on e87 after a fuel up of in town, country roads, and getting up to 80 on the interstate had the lie o meter showing 25 mpg for me. Had the towing package but not FX4. I feel like I could coax it over 30 with more time

My average is reading 14.2 today, mixed highway and city.
Ford Customer Service set up an appointment for me with the dealer I purchased it from, including a loaner, but just before I came in the service advisor called me and cancelled my appointment. He said he won’t even look at it until it has 1000 miles on it. My customer service rep now does not return my emails. Even if there’s nothing wrong with it and that mileage is “normal”, it deserves to be looked at. I always drive for economy. If I’m getting 14, anyone else would be getting 12.
Two weeks of runaround have really taken the fun out of a purchase I was excited about since June.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Hopefully, you get some answers soon!

It this a problem with the MPG reading on the dash? What is the actual MPG measured based on fuel volume added when you refil? Maybe the dash is giving you incorrect data.

I'm sure I'm an idiot for asking this but what are you getting when calculated at fill up?

I haven’t calculated mpg manually…I shouldn’t have to…but based on the amount of gas I’ve purchased in the first two weeks the readings I get on the dash seem accurate, if not optimistic. Nevertheless, if the problem is with the gauge (which I doubt is the case) that deserves to be addressed as well. Right now I just can’t get any answers because two dealers, including the one I bought it from, won’t look at it.

Holy crap, what a terrible experience. Sounds like a great reason to go on an extended drive to hit the 1000 mile mark.

Sorry that they will not look at it until it has 1000 miles but I can see their viewpoint even though I agree with you. Hopefully they can figure it out when they look at it. Sad when the honeymoon might be over before it even starts.
Best of luck and keep us posted on the end results.
