Just when I thought the AGM was possibly the fix, you're still getting Deep Sleep messages with it?All I know is what I have experience. When I had a regular flood battery and got the dreaded "sleep" message and no dome lights, within 24 hours the battery completely died and I had to fully charge it.
With the AGM battery, I still get the "sleep" messages and no dome lights, but not as often and after I drive it for just a few minutes, I get back the dome lights and I am good to go for weeks (2 or more months).
I replaced my stock battery myself after about 11 months when it started consistently giving deep sleep messages. Now, roughly 11 months later again, my Diehard Gold is doing the same thing.
Fortunately I've never had my battery die. Just seems like around 12.2 volts is what triggers the deep sleep messages. Resetting the BMS sometimes fixes it for a while.
I've been to Ford dealers, they won't replace the battery under warranty if it still starts the truck and passes whatever test they give it. They also can't tell you why it's going into deep sleep.
Ford should offer a Maverick annual battery replacement program, for a reasonable price, since they can't fix the problem.
