If you do not have a build date and VIN by 8/2, go see your dealer and place a new order for MY23. You may still get the MY 22 as they will be built into Oct. In such a case, your MY23 order will be cancelled.

First new retail orders can be placed August 2.

The MY23 order system should find your original un-made 22 order and grab the date from the 22 order. This way everyone stays in line and there is not the big rush to submit 23 orders on the 1st day since it will not be required to keep your place in line.

Since this would make the most sense Ford will do exactly the opposite.

Ford should use the priority system to tag MY22 orders. Leave all priority 2 builds the same. When a MY22 customer places their MY23 build, the dealer should give it a priority 10, the highest the dealer can assign to a build, according to @fordvideoguy . New retail orders placed on Aug. 15 should have a priority 19 assigned. In this way, Ford can easily see what builds got rolled over.

Like what you are thinking. Btw, all orders (transitioned 22 orders and new 23 orders) can be ordered on 8/2 not 8/15.

@fordvideoguy really enjoyed seeing your excitement of your smoke quartz lightning being unloaded from the carry. Also like colors that change and ordered the Alto Blue. Never seen that color in person but some photos look amazing.

I am real close to shopping for a taco - not what I want though. Ford marketing cannot tell me if I am a priority 2. Dealer will only say I can't change my order. I am clueless...

Dealer can absolutely check their Vehicle Visibility Report and tell you your priority # and current status, (like clean unscheduled). I recommend visiting in person to get this information instead of random emails or texts that are easier for them to ignore. And if your priority is 2, your account is locked and not easy to make changes, if at all at this late date.

Stupid questions when I have been checking the forum for so long. What would be the date by which someone not getting a build date that its game over for MY22? Will we get a email invitation for ordering MY23 or do we just need to show up at the dealer on Aug 2nd? Ordered Hybrid XLT 360 beginning Sept 21.

There is supposed to be a mass communication coming from Ford no later than August 1. THAT will tell you if you made the cut for a MY2022- or it's game over for you.

I haven't read that, can you point me to the source? It is my understanding that you may place an order for a 2023 as of August 2, but that they will still schedule 2022 builds all the way to August 18. So you could place an order and still get scheduled, at which point your MY23 order would just be canceled.

Long time lurker, first time posting.
I just got a VIN with a build date of sep 5th.
I was a July 12th order of a hybrid XLT, CP360, LUX, splash guards, hard trifold tonneau cover, touch link bed lighting, protective film, manual sliding window, all weather floor liners w/ carpeted floor mats, wheel locks, tailgate lock and console vault. Had pretty much every constrained item on my order.
