Got recalls done and now my Hybrid Mav is full of problems.

This issue happened to me yesterday. Highway speeds, cruising at 80, no acceleration and had to pull off to the side of the road, a total of 4 times. Each time I sat on the side of the road, shut off the car and waited 5 mins. The first time happend 2 hours into my trip, 30 mins away from my destination. The other 3 on the return trip.
I did bring my code reader and captured the same 2 codes each time, U1011 and U1028.

I did have the recalls done the last week of Feb. The technician came to my house, connected my battery to his generator before flashing. He did everything right.

I have made this same trip and others multiple times, this was the first long one after the recalls.

I scheduled an appointment on Monday when the first incident occured. By the time I get it there, I am sure the codes and the CEL will be gone.

I think a poll of some kind might be in order to get a true sense of issues between people that have done the recalls vs not. it's possible the rate of issues is more or less the same. and then if they aren't the same I'm not sure how to determine causation versus correlation.

this thread doesn't have me rushing out to get those recalls done, that is for sure.

I feel fortunate to have not had problems with the software updates, especially since my very old school dealer's service department looks like it still services Model Ts

After 4 weeks I got by truck back. Ford corporate was involved with the fix. Hopefully it’s making its way to everyone affected.

They have had mine for almost two weeks now. Hopefully, they will be able use whatever they did to fix yours to get mine done soon. Even if they do, I am a little nervous about if the fix is lasting. Please let me know if anything comes up again soon.

This weekend March 30 my 23 Hybrid decided to go crazy too. I recently got my updates and after, it did not feel like the same truck and then I get the Power Train Malfunction/Service engine Soon warning and pre collison assist not available. In addition, a few days ago, I was backing out of my driveway and it felt like I went over a small speed bump. All of this happened after most recent update. Ford roadside service is a joke. They could not tow my car until today. I was stranded in a restaurant parking lot. Thank goodness, I never dropped my AAA.

I have had two oil changes on my hybrid at the dealer, not the light recall issue. I have had service writer say to me "gee we don't see too many of these", so the tech experience comment is likely apt.

As far as the same tech that does oil changes doing the software updates I was told by my dealer that the computer person is strictly an electronics person.
The dealer where I bought mine told me that vehicle software updates were a full time job. They actually require an appointment for that job.
If they didn’t require a state license they could probably go to the local high school computer lab and hire some kids that could do the job perfectly.

I think the thing to take note here is the 23P18 PCM recall seems to be the issue. I think we all need to investigate as to why only certain VIN#'s are getting this recall and others are not. The posters vehicle (according to his profile) is a 2023 Hybrid Lariat. I have seen this issue mostly with 2022 Hybrids, so, there must be a VIN# associated with the 23P18 PCM recall. I have a 2023 Hybrid XLT and my VIN# does not require this recall. I wonder why?

I too have the 2023 Hybrid XLT, and never was issued this recall.

The dealer did the 2 recalls on my '22 hybrid a week ago. The only change I've noticed so far is a little better gas mileage. After reading this thread all I can say is I hope I don't regret getting those recalls done.

I got the update, then it went haywire, after four weeks I got a new update, and now lane centering is not working in cruise control.
