I was told the only software update that could be done by mobile service is the body module control. Everything else needs to be brought to the dealership to do, instrument cluster, turn signal, under the hood. Anyone else got theirs done by mobile service with all the recalls?

2023 XL Hybrid, 9/23 build date.

ALL updates have been done (at 7K and 12K miles) in my driveway, no issues.

Latest update was done 6/25/24.

I call BS.

Could be your dealers mobile service isn't capable of walking and chewing gum. It's not a Ford thing by the number of members who have had good results.

I had 5 recalls (23S27, 24S27, 24C01, 23C41 and 23E09) done in my driveway in about an hour. Just to be safe, I put a 3-amp charger on the 12V battery to ensure steady power, but this was not necessary. After the update, everything ran fine. However, it did reset my indicated miles-to-empty to use the factory default MPG (guess ~25) but the system relearned my actual MPG in the next 100 miles or so. The update also seems to have done a reset on my TPMS, since each tire pressure displayed as "--". I had a TPMS19 transmitter so I fixed it with the re-pairing procedure like you might do after a tire rotation. One of the other members told me this was unnecessary and the truck just needed time to get new readings on its own. Bottom line is that the mobile software update worked very well for me. No hassles, no dealer drop-off. All good.

Agree with what others have said. Your dealer is snowing you. I got mine done in the driveway with an oil change. No issues.

Depending on the Ford dealer, some dealers don't even offer mobile service. A Ford dealer about 10 miles away has no mobile service, but my Ford local dealer did the recalls(software updates) with their mobile service. I am also getting flyers from my local Ford dealer saying they offer mobile service on oil change.

I have one of the early built (10/21) Mavs and it's had all the problems we've seen on the forum. Had the harness failure twice in a year's time. But it's been the constant Deep Sleep Mode notifications, every other day, that have plagued me all these many months. I normally drive every 2nd or 3rd day, and short trips to shop, and that's it.
The reason I'm posting here is I had the same 5 recalls made in front of my home on 5/24. Knock on wood, since that time I've had no Deep Sleep notifications at all. I open the driver's side door to a lit up dashboard and the Blue Ford Oval showing on the infotainmant screen! I don't understand what recall update solved the problem? I'm obviously glad as hell, but clueless.

Well - about to have my 24S27 done by mobile service.
Kept waiting for the next recall update I might need - none so far, so...

Service manager was really pressing for it - probably to get off their books or pressure from Ford. Hmm.

Took tho opportunity to request they bring a backup battery - because the resting state of the little 390 CCA OEM has been around 12.1 V and I'd hate for the update to fail.
If that comment and discussion about cold weather coming didn't make it into the notes on my account - I'll make sure the tech checks and notes what it is when he starts.
I want to make it easier when time comes to visit after a jump that I've already seen issues.

Though I haven't reach sleep mode yet, but the system does shut down power to the 12 V plugs pretty quick now compared to earlier on.
I'm sure it'll do sleep mode the very day I really want a remote start to warm up the cab.

Just tried to get mobile service and they said they don't do maintenance just recalls. I know others have had oil change etc so not sure what is up with that....

Just had mobile service done yesterday for the back up camera recall, took about 2 hours and all went great.

A Ford dealer about 30 minutes away called out of the blue (I had contacted them when looking for my Maverick but didn't buy from them) and offered to come out at no charge and do it so made an appointment.
