Why are there no fog lights?

All car makers do this. The bean counters start stripping them down right after the new model is introduced.

Well lets be realistic, the maverick wasn't a huge money maker for Ford this is why the Hybrid is now an option.

I have seen Chrysler do this over the years. A sample would be the 67,68,69 barracuda. I have owned these 3 years of this car. Currently have a 67 and a 69. I can see how they cheapened it up over the 3 years in ways that most people would never notice.

Ditto for 68, 69, 70 dodge chargers. Again over the years I have owned all 3 years. By 1970 right before a major body change for 1971 they really cheapened it up. Most people buying one, would never know the difference if they didnt own a 68 or 69 prior to a 70, Or wouldent care.

I have seen this with the 1980s Chrysler FWD stuff too. All car makers do it. If they can make an item with fewer parts that does the same thing but cheaper to manufacture, they will, or try to package up popular stuff in a bundle where you have to select this, just to get that which you really want. This way you have to spend a bit more.

Extra cost package only exterior paint colors are a great way to do this too.

I like the thought of Fog lights, but sit in the Mav at night with the lights on, ask yourself: would a fog light brighten up the road in front of me or to the sides? and the answer is no, i don't believe it would help one bit.
an upgrade would be if the lights would turn with the steering wheel at low speed like my Subaru Crosstrek Limited does = cool feature, maybe this can be added when they make the Mav into a Lincoln Model with Heated and Cooled Leather seats and such.

They look cool, and finish off a bumper that looks like an afterthought. that's reason enough to install them

The reason I bought my 2021 Mini instead of the 22 was because those dopes took away the fog lights, and then the government dopes took away the EV tax credits.

My eyes are not what they once were (I am 61), but I have to say I feel the headlights are much better than my last vehicle. I also like the auto high beams. I always hated having to keep my hand close to the leaver so I could flick them off quickly when needed.

Use the screw under the hood and adjust your headlights downward. I can just about guarantee that you're blinding people. If they're actually properly set, you have serious night-blindness are wise to not be out driving after dark. Modern headlights are insanely bright.
