I love my Maverick, but I am not getting that good of mileage. Which mode, eco, normal, or sport do you drive in? The dealership just told me that I would get better mileage driving in normal or sport than eco which is counter intuitive. Thank you for responding.
I bounce between Eco mode and slippery mode. When one seems like it’s not giving me quite as much miles per gallon as I would like, I switch to the other, and it seems to do the job. Then I have to reverse at some point. Don’t know why, but that seems to work. I usually get between 42 to 43 miles per gallon. Oh, and I take it easy on the pedal.

Oh, I think it's here. Most of us really like our Mavericks. Heading out of the house at 23:15, but remote started it at 12:10 to engage the AC on this mild 96 degree day ...gotta love it.

Right on šŸ‘ remote start is my favorite feature right behind cruise control.

Whoever at the dealer told you that is either nuts, or stupid- and maybe both!o_O

I have a light foot and slow down gradually to take advantage of the regen braking; I am averaging 50 mpg.

ECO mode puts the drivetrain in electric sooner on level road or coasting and will keep it there slightly longer when accelerating or going slightly up hill.

Your driving habits, topography of your trips, length of trips, temperature all influence your gas mileage; but I believe the right foot is the main influencer! ;)

I agree with all that and I am extremely light footed and approach each stop light as slowly as possible and in general purposefully drive for mileage. We have a lot of hills around out house so much of the in town driving is up and down those. I just drove 1,200 miles from Mission Viejo, CA to Arizona of which 800 was predominately flat across the desert and another 400 into the White Mountains and averaged 36.9 mpg on the trip.
I really do not know what more to do as I really am a driver who works hard to get good mileage.
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thank you for responding!!

What range of mpg are you seeing under various load conditions on your instantaneous mpg readout?
Your IC engine must be running nearly all the time; you are in eco mode , correct?

Well, at this point, it’s probably worth asking you a few more questions. How much weight do you have in the vehicle? For example number of passengers and cargo weight. Do you have any type of rack on the roof? Is there or was there any high wind situations? These all affect has mileage negatively. Do you have a teenager taking over driving while you’re napping šŸ˜‚. Are you using a high methanol to gasoline ratio fuel?

2024 XL hybrid. 6 months, 6080 miles, 45.7 mpg. I used to set the eco mode for the first month, but don't anymore. Just normal mode.

Love the truck, particularly when in electric - just seems to glide along. One minor recall (taillights), otherwise no issues.

I have no additional weight, one to two people, mostly one, no rack, do have a tonneau cover, no excessive wind conditions, and I use regular gas from Costco.

In town I see a range of 25 - 45 and I almost never have any load and running in eco mode.

Almost exclusively in eco. Oh no I have a complaint. Ford, please when I start the truck, keep it in eco mode!

Eco-boost 2.0 Here.
I generally use Eco mode which is intended to give you the least expenditure of fuel / elec. energy.
My trip odo is at about 3K and it reads 34.7 MPG So, that's a long term average reading.

One thing that I think can be going on is that the trans computer is adaptive and adjusts some to your driving style.

This thread may be some help on Sport mode info (or opinions).

I would agree with most people in here. Your mileage seems off. Did you get an oil change recently? Did they put in the correct oil? It's supposed to be 0w-20 full synthetic for the Hybrid. Believe it or not, anything different makes a difference in mpg.
